Hey... love the show guys. I listened to some of the other Lost podcasts, but yours is the only one that goes into speculation with the depth I'm looking for.

Quick question, is there an email address I can send comments and questions to rather than posting in this comments section? Looked around and didn't see anything.

Quick show comment: since I listen to a lot of podcasts with my family, I much prefer the 'f-bomb free' version of the show. You guys do a great job of getting your point across without having to prove how grown-up you are by cussin' up a storm. Thank you.

Last season I was quite vocal about each episode's quality and relevance to the overall show. I generally found most eps lacking somewhat, even though it was my favorite show (until I discovered Battlestar Galactica). I was one of the ones who was furious that we didn't get to see inside the hatch at the end of last season.

But oddly enough, after the season was over and I had time to digest everything, the individual failures and misteps faded and the overall aura of the show took over. I was able to process each thing that happened in relation to the overall show.

So this year, I'm not being as harsh with each episode, waiting to let that ep's value and purpose make itself known over the long haul. I hear and read a lot of griping about how the last couple of eps didn't have anything that really moved the plot forward, blah blah blah. Just like I can't judge each scene in an episode on its own merit, each show needs to be judged in the context of the whole series.

As to the change of pace for the past couple of episodes, I've enjoyed it a great deal. The first three were jam-packed with mythology and info and revelations. It was a nice break to have some character-building eps as opposed to mythology-building.

One way I have to look at it is that when you plan out a season of a show like this (and plan long-term as well) you have to space things out. While it may make for some clunky episodes, they've established that the flashback for that ep is going to have relevance to the present plot. Or else it will parallel it in some fashion. At the same time, they've established that each week will feature a different person's flashback. Since each flashback is independent of the others (not counting the occasional crossovers), it's not going to be possible to make the flashbacks and the Island stories line up perfectly every week. For example, the best person to parallel the "...And Found" Island stories may have been Hurley, but since he just had a flashback, they can't use him for a few episodes.

I don't know... I'm an aspiring film-maker myself (finishing up the script for my movie), and it hurts my brain trying to figure out how they plan this show and determine who gets the flashback each week. And then having to tie it into the main plot. But of the main plot, some of the stories are mythology-based, and some are more character-based. And of the character-based ones, clearly some are planting the seeds of future mythology. But you can't just unload a whole pile of mythology every week. It has to be doled out. Not too fast, or we'll complain, and not too slow or we'll complain.

While it would make logical sense for everyone to tie down Desmond or Danielle or Ethan, and torture them until they tell EVERYTHING they know about the Island, it would make for a short-lived show. TPTB may not have every last detail planned out, but I'm sure they have a good roadmap. And they know they can't reveal Y until X has happened. And X has to wait until so-and-so's flashback.

It must be a nightmare.

And then think about having to make sure everyone gets screen time. Charlie's had hardly anthing to do this season so far. Or Claire. Or Shannon. They could have been shoe-horned into more episodes, but I'm glad they weren't. But at some point, they had to have a story with some of the other cast-members, and as such, we got "...And Found." I didn't think it was a bad episode, just not one of the meatier ones.

Anyway, I just had to get that off my chest.

If you're going to talk about the monster, one thing that might be worth pondering is whether the "monster" that Locke saw in episode 4 (Walkabout) was the same (or same type) as the "monster(s)" that were seen in Exodus. I ask because at one point Locke says to someone "I've looked into the eye of this island and what I saw was beautiful." So did he see a pillar of black smoke?? If so what did he see that was beautiful and why didn't it kill him? If not, what did he see. Locke seemed to think that he wasn't in danger when the smoke thing grabbed him in Exodus but where would it of taken him if they hadn't chucked dynamite down the hole?? The creature, more then anything else, seems to point to a "higher power" of the island; the part of the island that is linked to everyone's fate as it’s very clear that fate and destiny plays a role in everything.

I think it’s worth examining the idea that there’s someone or something manipulating the whole island because if there was something controlling the smoke monsters it seems that it would be a “higher power” of the island. Does the island like Locke because he is the only one who has faith?? Is it the Dharma initiative operating an island-sized skinner box?? Who knows? But it’s something to take a look at.

I’m really enjoying the podcast guys; you’re doing a great job. Keep it up!

well for the Black rock subject, all the things that have crashed on the island is cause of the "magentic energy" from the island as it was somewhat called in the Orientaion episode. so i figured wouldnt that screw up any and all types of compass/navigation things on any type of ship/airplanes? well there was that columbian drug plane that crashed, the black rock, there airplane that crashed, Rossou (the french chick i forgot her name) and Desmond. and whoever else is on the island. so yeah thats what i think :). by the way guys you guys rock and keep up the great work. later

Hey this show is amazing...I haven't missed one show yet!!! I have only one problem, I plan out my day so I don't miss the show lost....but somedays it is a repeat. And it just ruins my whole day becuase I cancled plans to watch the show and I have already seen it. I just wanted to let you know that you have too many repeats and it's getting annoying. So please don't play as many repeats and show some new episodes.

P.S. even though you play a lot of repeats I still love the show!!!
