Moses killed an Egyptian before fleeing that area as a young man. The comparison of Eko to Moses is still fair despite Eko killing two "others".

Anna shot Shnnon. Thats it. In the preview Eko says: "Anna made a mistake" right?
Anna says: "I killed his girlfriend, he's gonna come after me" (or something like that). I know you cant trust previews but can it be more obvious!? Let it go (to the guy that wouldnt let it go)
I think Nathan was on the plaine. I think he was a drug smugler of some sort, and was hiding in the bathroom on the plaine. He was in the jungle, looking for his drugs. That explaines why he didnt tell why he was away.
I think i know what the sickness is! Alvar Hanso was Danish. If you look at Denmark and sickness what comes to mind.. Well look at a map of Denmark, and see that Denmark looks like a guy with a cold! I think the sickness is a cold! You look me in the eye and tell me that this doesnt look like a guy with a cold! http://theochem.ki.ku.dk/~sdd/billeder/Danmark.gif
Plus the password to the Hanso webpage was "Copenhagen" the capital of Denmark. Copenhagen is on an island (Sjælland)!! Put the peaces together, like a certain guy would say.
Great show, you are the best of the lost podcasts.

Well first off, thanks for posting my audio message on the podcast this week. That was actually pretty sweet. So I guess you guys are right, maybe 7 days of podcasts is just a little too much but still it would be awesome to be able to get our fixes for Lost more than just once a week. Anyway, you guys rock and I really enjoy listening to you guys talk about the theories. Awesome work. Keep it up.
And though I've never been called Lou before, its cool . . . I dig it

Yes, Ana shot Shannon, we know this now. But that does not mean something else didn't happen to Shannon. The entire thing is feels wrong to me. If you go back and watch the end of "The Other 48 Days," you CLEARLY see the bullet enter the right side of Shannon's chest (our left). And if you go frame-by-frame, you CLEARLY see the blood in the middle of her chest ALREADY THERE! I'm not insane I tell you!
Michael was pretty far back now that I've looked at it again, so his comment isn't too big of a deal now, but the shot of the trees with no one there is just too damn odd.
Oh well, hopefully they'll examine her wounds.

No Ana didnt kill Shannon. If u go back to when Sayid was the interrogator his "love" for that girl wasnt as much as the "love" for shannon. i dont really recall that girl dieing. Ana shot the girl and the girl stabbed Shannon either by accident or on purpose. The preview for the next episode says that Ana needed to kill Sayid becuase he killed his "love" (the girl). Going back to Desmond randomly being on the Island during his trip around the world. Maybe that girl is on the Island randomly also.

First off, I love the show, but I think I might explode if I hear any of you mispronounce Ana-Lucia again...
It's pronounced with a S sound... not a CH or a SH...

I think many are making a mistake in assuming that the Others and Dharma are connected. I don't think the 815 folks are the first to get stranded on this island. The Black Rock, Desmond, the drug plane, Rouseaus's team - they all point to this island being like fly paper for castaways. The Others, or at least a faction of them, probably maintain their numbers by assimilating anyone who happens along. Assuming they're "good" enough to be assimilated.
I think that the Dharma Initiative may have fallen vicitm to this. The Others may have some people who were part of Dharma, but that doesn't neccessarily mean that the Others are part of Dharma. I think that the Dharma initiative fell victim to the Island just like 815. The only difference is they came there on purpose.I think that we're going to find that the mystery of the Island runs much deeper than the Dharma intitiative.

I don't think he's a priest. He kicks ass too well for a priest. I think he is a guy with a violent past that turned to religion. He was silent for 40 days as a pennance for having to go back to his old ways. However I do think his Christianity may not be a mainstream form. Just like in Central and South American, in Africa old folk traditions are often mixed into Christianity. Like carving a prayer for forgiveness into your ass kicking stick.

PS beware of Robert.
Can't trust Canadians eh?

One more. The glass eye and the Bible. Didn't the guy dressed like a priest in the drug plane have an eye patch?

Awesome podcast, I'm probably going to read walden 2 as soon as i can. Maybe the others weve seen from the tallies, like in walden 2, were subjects to this utopian society and rose above the tests. Being that the tests created these socially different and purer people they would know what is best and rose above their captures and testers and branched off. With their own agenda.

Like Matt said: There is something 'deeper' going on.
The Walden 2 story sounds to be a solid theory but than again, you have a lot of unnatural facts going on on the Island(the numbers, the "coincidentally" presence of a lot of characters on the plane, etc). It's a balance between natural and unnatural phenomena. Science and Faith. Perhaps the show ends one day by revelaing a lot of questions (the science part) but leave us in the dark about the more mysterious facts (believe)...
Posted by: Caligula | November 22, 2005 at 04:04 AM
I agree, Lindelof allready said that he wouldnt even begin to know how to explain the numbers and that their secret or hidden purpose will never be revealed. They probably just found a string of significant numbers to tie everyone togethor and give the fans migrains. In the end, once all is revealed the numbers will remain a mystery.
Posted by: Cobblepot | November 22, 2005 at 09:05 AM
On the Walden II relationship. I wouldn't say that all the mysteries tie into it. I'm not even saying necesarily that all the others in this goup of others are of the Dharma initiative. I do find the number of connections between BF Skinner's Walden II and what we have been told of the Dharma initiative are quite strong. Strong enough to make me feel comfortable saying that a utopian social engineering project was part of the Dharma initiative and these others harassing the Tailenders are somehow related to that particular initiative.
Also, they got the army knife off of one of the dead others and Ana Lu(see)ah dates the knife back to about the time the dharma initiative would have been hitting the island providing yet a deeper connection between this group of kidnappers and the original initiative.

I think the Walden 2 thing is a sound theory. But my point is that the Walden 2 hippies could have fallen victim to whatever weirdness was already happening on the Island. They think they found a deserted island where they can build a utopian society, but it turns out to be not so deserted. Or the Island caused the experitment to go haywire. Maybe Goodwin was really in the Peace Corps and he crashed on the Island in route to teaching the natives how to play basketball and use Tupperware.
