Hey guys,
You guys have a terrific broadcast but why do i get the impression you guys are holding back slightly. I'm sure in time, everything will come out. This is just something I can't get out of my head. You guy's brought up the book being published "The Bad Twin" that is identical to a manuscript the castaways will find that i'm sure will have more symbolism and direct implications, however vague, to the show. The thing that interested me was it's a wealthy air seeking his "evil sibling." However, I think he is pursuing his evil twin and i think this reveals something about the show. Eko seems to be the tailies jack, but not as calculating and maybe more pure, in that he helps people and others are his first concern. Meanwhile, jack feels the others do not understand. Obviously eko is blackm and jack is white but that's just funny opose to anything else. Anna Lucia's character, i believe we;ll find out used to be L.A.P.D, but she is very abrasive and cold-hearted. Kate was a criminal, maybe murderer and certainly demented, but she seems to be more self-aware than her legal opposite anna lucia who doesnt seem to be able to comprehend compassion. Rose's husband is white, and she is black may be saying something as well, in terms of that light and dark theme in the show. Jack wasnt able to connect with his patients and was very blunt, to the point, disturbing and frightening his patients. The lady who is just a follower in the tailenders is a physician as well, but a clinical psychiatrist which is very much a physician, but means that she had some interest in people. She looks at sawyers wound and can tell that it is very bad, and life threatening, but instead of pulling a "jack" she sugarcoates with optimism and charm. Also, Jack is a natural leader, and she seems to be apart of the heard, dependent on others for survival. Also, at sea when "the others" took walt, on the boat there were identical twins. Maybe a shannon driving too, i dont know im just throwing that out there, you can either take it or throw it right back. Rousseau's child may have been walt's twin and for some reason "the others" are collecting twins? Makes me think of noah's ark as all the animals went in 2 by 2. Genetically, identical twins is not commonplace, which could tie into the whole nazi super culture theory. The official lost podcast, mentioned time travel by mistake it sounded like. That's it for the moment, hope you read this because I think there is something here.

Walt was saying in the tent with Shannon, "They're coming, and they're coming quick."

Hey, Cobblepot,
Great ideas on the duality issue, definitely in motion on the show, I agree. Personally, I'm on the side of Mr. Eko being the double for Locke, myself, but we'll know more once we see the next two episodes, I bet. As for Ana-Lucia, she seems abrasive and cold, as you say, but I'm betting there's a compassionate person underneath. The actress (Michelle Rodriguez? I don't feel like looking it up just now) is always playing that I'll-punch-you-in-the-face Girlfight cop/SWAT character, so it's a bit of typecasting, but she certainly has the presence of a shoot-first-ask-questions-later-move-move-move Tough Cop. Anyway, I'm thinking it might be too early to pair her with Kate - along the lines of the doubles/twin thing - my first impression is Sawyer. Definitely some gray areas in that comparison, but they both are people whose abrasive personalities might be defense mechanisms. Or, to use show terminology, personality "security systems."

Bryan,
Thanks for the post, and I just wanted to say that down the road this season I think we'll see alot of missions/adventures what not about the island, probably towards the signal source in pairs. Also, I think locke and eko will be hanging out, and some kind of connection between Michael and the computer may occur, perhaps Walt's psychic ability through the computer.

What's this "signal source in Paris?"

Treking to the signal source that Sayid attempted to Triangulate during the first season. I think they'll try to find that same location, but travel in pairs.

Hey Guys,
Great podcasts! Quick thought on the Abandoned episode. I don't think Ana Lucia shot Shannon. I haven't gone back to my TIVO yet, but I'm pretty sure that Ana Lucia's gun wasn't in an empty position (her having only one bullet left and all). Let me know what you guys think.
