i just visited Angkor Wat in Cambodia. One of the sites, Angkor Thom had 2 sets of 54 buddhas holding onto a giant snake in front of the gate to enter the temple. On the temple itself there were 216 heads of the king, represented by a smiling buddha face on the top of each tower in the site. Both of these numbers are 108 multiples, and I immediately thought of Lost, which really irritated my fellow travellers. I got a kick out of it anyway! I know that theories have suggested Buddhism, and I think this observation is not coincidental, considering the station discovered by Locke is the Dharma Initiative. Sorry if this has been discussed, but I am new to the podcasts and the forum sites.
