We don't get a new episode of LOST this week. And the Official LOST Podcast hasn't updated either.
To make matters worse, you may have heard that our friends at The Transmission have called it quits. We're sad to see Ryan and Jen go, but we can understand their reasons. They'll be missed in the LOST podcast community, and the rest of us have some big shoes to fill.
What a depressing week. I feel like Charlie.
Even though we don't get a new episode, there's still plenty to talk about. Keep your comments rolling in!

Big shoes to fill?!? Are you joking? You guys are way too nice to tell the truth, but as all the LOSTCasts listeners know, those other podcasts out there are horrendous compared to yours. As much as I like lost and would like to supplement my addiction to the show by listening to podcasts as I wait for a new episode each week, I can't bring myself to listen to hours of unintelligent jibber jabber by the likes of Ryan & Jen or that other crappy show with Jay and Jack. Someone needs to tell these losers to stop trying to compensate for a lack of research and knowledge about the subject matter with unrelenting bad jokes and annoying comments. I don't know your relationship to these other podcast groups. Perhaps they truly are your friends, but come on, tell the truth. You guys pimp the podcast circuit and the other groups need to go back to their day jobs or actually go back to college and get a degree in religion, philosophy, or err.... anything for that matter. Then maybe they would know what they are talking about.
Sorry to bash on these other groups but I tried listening to their mindless babble for a couple weeks and I couldn't take it. Thank you to you guys at the LOSTCasts site for giving us an informed and insightful breakdown of the show each week with just the right touch of humor. Keep the pimp hand strong!
War the ghost of Ethan returning to kill Charlie off for good!

OMG! I didn't know the MVP of the NBA was such a hater.
I personaly love all the podcasts because they're all different but I sure will miss the pioneers of Lost podcasting over at The Transmission.

Steve,
I don't listen to any of the other Lost podcasts, so I don't have much of an opinion about them.
But I do know pimpn' ain't easy.
Thanks for showing the love.

I'm sorry I meant to point out in the "P.S." that that line is funny. not trying to repeat the whole thing. so not cool.

Great work guys!
I tried all the numerous available Lost Podcasts and firmly believe yours is by far the best!
Im watching the show in the UK but managing to keep right up to date with Series2

Yep, I agree with most of you guys. I tried to listen to a few other podcasts and I've gotta say all of them *stink* compared to yours. You don't recap, and I'd say your show is for the most hardcore fans who understand what is going on!

Since it seems you guys like to get follow-ups from others with too much time on their hands, i figured i'd throw this your way. About the Zeke/Country Bears reference. Zeke is actually the name of one of the bears that appears in the show at the Disney theme park (i think he plays the banjo?) In the movie, Zeke is the name of the tourbus, i'm guessing as a reference to the show bear.

So you know Geronimo Jackson's website:
http://www.geronimo-jackson.com/
I brightened the band photo and I swear the guy in the top right is actually a younger Zeke. He, Gerald and Karen DeGroot were in the band together as a side hobby while studying at the University Of Michigan together. It would make sense that they'd bring one of their own records to the island while working there. The fact that we, the viewers, see an inexplicably random introduction to this fictional band and later in the same episode see Zeke, proves to me that he was in actual fact in that band and a friend to the DeGroots. The writers hit us with the simple foreshadowing/payoff method and most of us just didnt get it. BUT I DID.
GODDAMN I'M GOOD! HIGHFIVE ME SOMEONE!

Interesting stuff coming up these few weeks. Read up on spoilerfix you know some stuff, and I guess in ep. 15, Claire starts to remember things, as in being kidnapped? and she's 'going places?' Maybe she's going to remember where Ethan took her and go explore. Hope she doesn't go alone though...

By the way, have you guys had a chance to listen to the show yet?

I'm going through serious Lost withdrawal! Why run a rerun only a few weeks after starting new episodes again :P
