1] If the person on the computer is not Walt (and even if it was) how would they know Mike was in the room to know to contact him at that moment and the second time? Unless there is a hidden camera in the room with the computer? (this is ruling out the 'remote viewing telekensis' excuse). Food for thought. There's alot of logistical questions if Mike is not hallucinating the words on the screen, I'd like to see them answered in Mike's next episode...

2] I commented in a previous thread that I think Zeke is one of the band members of Geronimo Jackson, along with the DeGroots (big assumption that the band website is not a fan creation), I'm hoping and expecting eventually a flashback episode set on the campus of Michigan with the DeGroots, that would be a very interesting episode...

3] I think Desmond ran off to another Dharma related building on the island that he was aware of. It didnt look like he was running nowhere in particular, he only took a few vials of that liquid stuff because he wasnt going to be travelling far to his destination. I think there are more than hatches on the island but actual structures above ground. I'm hoping we see one before the end of this season. (then again he may have just been running to his yacht or whatever he used to sail around the world with).

4] I'd bring the love of my life to the island with me. :D

Thanks for the surprise podcast guys. (sad as it was to hear of the Transmission ending, LostCasts is my favourite of the lot so I'm still happy)

--I like Cihan's comment about how they knew it was Michael, I agree, I think there is cameras, watching them, maybe seeing their reactions to the #s and the food and everything, maybe they are just being studied, watching how they survive.

--What about if this island is the bermuta triangle? Many planes and ships have crashed on it.

--I would bring a tank.

--I think that Jack's wife is cheating on him with someone thats on the island.

--With that comment in this podcast about the government releasing a diease so they can study its effect on people heres my comment on that. I think if thats the case, the "Others" are taking them so they can study the effect on them at a certain duration of being infected, It might have something to do with the dreams/illustions.

--An easter egg I have found on my own is in one of the episodes in the first season, I saw in the episode where Jin goes and beats the shit out of that guy, that when hes passing through the living room, you can see hurly on a commercial, or interview or soemthing in the TV in the background with Japanese text under it.
(I think that is there it is in the episode)

Eli

Love the show and I think you guys do a great job of covering all the topics. Just wanted to throw out my idea for what DHARMA might stand for - Degroot Hanso Advanced Research in Magnetic Anomalies.

andrew

could you guys possibly add yourselves to odeo.com?
thanks.

John

Andrew - it should already be in there. I just hadn't claimed the feed yet. That may have affected it actually showing up for you. I'm adding the code we need to claim it in this post.

John

You can find it in Odeo here:

dwight

what would i bring?

Physician’s Desk Reference…

…hollowed out. Inside: Waterproof matches, iodine tables, beet seeds, protein bars, NASA blanket and, in case I get bored, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
No –- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Question, did my shoes come off in the plane crash?

Hi guys Thanks for the cool podcasts. I live in York north yorkshie in the united kingdom and i am lucky enough to be able to download each new episode as it comes out as we in the uk are well behind compared to yourself in the usa. I really love the series and thanks for putting out a great podcast, keep up the good work guys and stay lost dudes. Hey i almost sound american!!!!

Taylor

Great! You guys have that MSNBC dealy...I saw it in the newest Newsweek on page 11 last week! In case anyone wants a hardcopy of it.

Taylor

Wait, I don't think now that the MSNBC thing's the same as the Newsweek clip I read.

Check out the Feb 6th issue of Newsweek on page 11 (I believe...I don't have the issue here) and see if that's not the same thing.

I have heard yoiu guys talk about the Desmond and Jacks wife hooking up. I thought this was a fact. If you remember the hatch episode Jack clearly is shaken by seeing a picture of Desond and a blond woman. I Tivoed it and it was his wife. Also when Desmond was talking to Jack in the woods he knew he was divorced before he said it. Thanks

eve phoenix

OK, definitely the most important question you asked was who will be the next person to make Jack cry in the woods. I think it'll be Desmond when he shows up again, although if he was the one fooling around with Jack's wife, I don't think he knew her husband was Jack, if he knew she was even married! I think he'll connect the dots next time though. If it's not Desmond, I think Locke will make him cry, though not on purpose. Jack will throw a tantrum over the guns or something else, I think, and cry out of frustration. My next choice would be the next person Jack can't save.

eve phoenix

In that case, I guess Jack will make himself cry. Come to think of it, he's the one who always does anyway!

raj

I would bring a solor power IPod!!

and its when kate and sayer hook up that will cause Jack to cry in the jungle.

Take Care and Stay Lost.

I just had a thought...
Last night, I was re-watching "Abandon" and recalled the episode of LostCasts when the whispers that Shannon and Sayid heard were 'decoded'. If you remember, one of the most recognizable lines in the whispers was Boone's voice saying "death sucks". Earlier in the episode, during Shannon's flashback, Boone tells her that "death sucks" during their pseudo-wake.
After finally seeing the monster in 'The 23rd Psalm' and realizing that the black-smoke monster can read minds/ reflect thoughts, I realized that the whispers could be no more than an audio version/ presence of the monster.
I think it would be interesting to decode more of the whispers because I have a feeling that the whispers would have reflect the sounds of the life of the person who hears the whispers, just as the black smoke reflects visions for a person's life.
Just a thought... what do you all think?

Blinder

The smoke seems to present images of one's past. whether it's extracting those images and assessing them or it already has the images and is putting on a show of the subject's psyche remains to be determined.

The voices (judging by the possibility that Boone's voice was a part of the mix) seem to be voices of the dead. And the voices seem to be in some fragmented discussion over what is taking place in their presence. Boone's comment that "Dying Sucks" could be interpreted several different ways from psychic ghosts to an echo chamber of the subconscious.

Based on those two seperate functions I'm still looking at the voices and the smoke as being two different entities serving two different purposes.

I think the dialogue of the voices are just kind of thrown together. They are so obscured by effects it's hard for me to imagine the creators communicating any info through the "whispers" that would give us any reasonable assumbtion regarding their origin/function.

James

I know in the scheme of recent events on the island, this may seem kind of late but, just a thought. I was watching an earlier from the current season called "and Found", a Jin/Sun-centric episode, that shows how they hooked up.
Sun was being pressured into finding a husband, and her parents find this supposedly established guy
who they think is a perfect match for her. However, in one of the last
scenes he tells her he has a secret. He has been seeing a woman in
America and he plans to meet and marry her there. This is very
disapointing to Sun seeing as their brief relationship looked promising.
I also thought of the Jack-centric episode "The Hunting Party" when his
wife was leaving Jack for someone else she was seeing. Perhaps it is the
man who Sun was supposed to marry.
I also want to add that in the "and Found" episode Sun reveals that she
recieved a degree in art history. In the last episode "Fire and Water" it
opens with a painting. I think Charlie should tell Sun what he saw and
they can find derive all the symbolism the painting is filled with. So, those
are my thoughts and are open to discussion.

Amber

You know how you guys were talking about the easter egg, the building (pink floyd cover) and the sign that nobody could read? On the official Lost Podcast, Lindleoff said that there was a sign on the building that turned out to be much smaller than they had planned, and that it says "Widmore Construction". He also says that it is not the same as Hanso, but to remember the name because it will probably pop up later on. Cool huh!?

Faith

Just felt like mentioning the Hobbiton is not a typo. That's the name of the Hobbits' home in LOTR. But, I'm not one of those people, so I just wanted to say that I listened to you guys for the first time this week. And I like it! Thanks for helping to fill my Lost fix for the week.

Rachel

Love the podcast! It's not really related to LOST as much as Charlie, but it is actually "Hobbiton" not "Hobbitown" (so much for not showing my nerd stripes)

Soultaco

What I'd bring to the island. A Satelliete phone charged up. I could than use any of the hundreds of credit cards to activate it. This would give me double the opportunity for rescue because activating a "dead" card lost in a plane wreck would bring everyone and their sister from the insurance company that's paying for the accident. Plus I could call and maybe get on TRL and see what songs are new.

SoulTaco

andrew

thanks for the odeo addition/fix/whatever you did :)

katieisland

This is a little late, but in my defense I only just discovered you guys. I was a Transmission listener now I'm out broadening my horizons. If I were on the island, the one thing I'd like to have is a cruise ship. Preferably fully staffed- like the one that got attacked by pirates recently and warded them off with the eardrum bursting bazooka. That way I could leave the island whenever I wanted, and no stupid little tug boat could get to me. Although, a Brookstone foot thing doesn't sound too bad either.

cole

can anyone tell me, at 56 seconds into this video, which episode that's taken from when jack is crying, it looks like in front of a fire on the beach??

thanks,
