We won't have a new podcast this week, since we released the last episode not too long ago and we still have a couple weeks until the new episode. There's always something to talk about, but we didn't feel like we had enough new stuff for this weekend.
But we'll be back next weekend with another podcast, talking about some theories and where we're at in season 2 of LOST, before the new episode airs on March 22nd. Make sure to send us your thoughts via email, or calling our automated audio comment voicemail at 206-666-2278.
Stay LOST.

Hiatus, but in any event well earned.

Just one thing. I was a bit dissapointed that there wasn't any mention of the "him" character Zeke was refering to saying "He won't be happy about this" to Ethan.
Would be great if you guys gave us your views on who this "him" could be in the next podcast

Hiatus? I think I may have just died a little inside, when I die fully inside I will hold you responsible. Remember that!
Or not, either way is fine.

Enjoy your week off... it's much deserved!
And thanks for all the great insights to the show.

About Zeke and the theatrical glue: I recall from somewhere that there were a pair of twin seabillies on the boat which intercepted the raft. Was one of them Zeke? Could there actually be triplets? Too weird? The disguise may have been intended to obfuscate so that the hunting party would be left with the impression that they had been dealing with a different group of others, maybe one which has gone (or been forced) down a different more feral path. The manuscript "The Bad Twin" which Hurley was reading could be a reference in support of this idea, even if the twin was not Zeke. I think that its going to turn out that there are at least two groups of others and that the ones who are living closer to the earth are going to turn out to be the ones who are on the side of 'good', that the writers will want to make us question preconceived ideas about which of the two groups is good and which is evil.
I also think an air-drop from Dharma of food and supplies to at least one of the goups of Others is very likely, and will dispell any notion of the purgatory etc theory.
The podcast is great. Keep it up!

was half expecting you to have a week off - with all the breaks in Lost - and there is only so much you can say each week without repeating yourself...
Until next weekend hopefully!

Yeah I was pretty much expecting it too, no big loss though as there'll be all the more theories next week!!
:D

hey, you guys are really great. And i really would like to thank you guys for doing this.
PS. I act, and im doing a show right now in which i have to wear a beard. The stuff u use to hold it on is called spirit gum, not theatrical glue, and it really hurts.

Someone above mentioned the twins. The twins on the seabilly boat (well, I suppose we should now so Dharma boat) did not look like Zeke, but I believe they are important. In Psychology, twin studies are a favorite in the search of what is "nature" or an inborn trait and what is "nurture" or a learned trait. I think that Dharma is using the seabilly twins as participants in their psychological studies mentioned in the Orientation video.
Thanks! Love the podcast, hate the hiatus! :) See you in another life.

Yeah, you guys never mentioned the whispers they decoded on the fuselage. Do you think they are for real? If they are, what do you think of them? Btw, your podcast is by far the best...

Just thought you guy's should talk about this on your next podcast:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EHSVDM/ref=nosim/103-2806885-3623012?n=5174
it's a link to a Lost Soundtrack... weird title names, and it seems to be from the first season, but I'll still buy it.

Darn it...I was hoping for at least thirty minutes...
Have you guys thought about inhanced podcasts, so your listeners can view pictures related to comments while listening?

There's been talk about Goodwin's knife not having the Dharma Symbol on it. What do you guys think of this? Maybe he didn't work for Dharma?
Posted by: So|G|o | March 15, 2006 at 09:40 AM
I think the mention by "Zeke" to Ethan that he should've focused on the list, and the list found by the tailies and referred to by Goodwin implies that they're all part of the same group (DHARMA I guess).
That is unless there's two rival groups with similar methods and they've both happened to make a list...

You guys rock.
Stay lost.

Great job guys! I completely stumbled across your site about two weeks ago and since then have had quite the fun time catching up to all your podcasts, though I will add that falling asleep listening to all the theories has left me with some very odd dreams ("Can't sleep, the seabillies will eat me!").
Anyway, I just wanted to say I love the podcast just as it is. After getting caught up with your casts, I've sniffed around a bit trying to find other ones of similar quality and they just aren't to be found. I appreciate that your M.O. is "just" three guys who are well researched and well spoken sitting around and chatting as per the outline--no sound effects, video effects, or (thank goodness!) sound clips from the show. Congrats on keeping your podcast lean and mean, as it is better for it.
Keep up the fantastic work!

Ahh, sweet insomnia... so I guess I'll use the opportunity to add my two cents about Eko's confession to Henry Gale, which after some research into the mysterious world of Catholocism (I'm a Lutheran, and not a very good one), lead me to a pretty obvious point: his confession was rather insincere. Now this presupposes that Eko both understands and now reveres Catholic dogma, which says that in the event of there being no priest to confess to, a confession should be made to a layperson with the full intent to repeat it all to a priest as soon as possible. Additionally, the confessor needs to accept what he or she has done wrong and needs to be confessing from the bottom of his or her heart.
And... well, I don't think it's from the bottom of his heart--afterall, he decides to tell the ONE available person in Lostville who a) most people don't know about, and b) no one (of the castaways) trusts. Essentially, it's a very weak confession.
I blather about all of this simply to point out that, as cool as it would have been to have the blood-thirsty killer-turned-man-of-God character, surprise surprise, Eko's character has shades of grey to him. Further, this makes me think that whatever he is doing with the trees he's cutting down, he's not building a church--at least not in the traditional "let's all learn about God and be nice" sort of way. Personally, I doubt it's a church at all, but if it is.. beware just how holy the church can be!
So that's all I've got to say about that.

Once again the crazy Lostcast fans are getting ready for the podcast this weekend - making space on our hard drives by deleting old 'Veronica Mars' episodes, buying fresh batteries for our mp3 players, and so forth.
Any word on whether you will be recording on Saturday morning, or will be it be later in the weekend?
Thanks
