Seems like it's been an eternity since LOST was on... and yes, it will be an eternity until it's back on the air. We'll be doing a summer podcast soon, but we'd like to know what you'd want to hear? Is it book reviews? A theory cast? Post a comment here with your suggestions!

As a bod who remained spoiler free I was knocked for 6 by the 'flash forward'.

At this moment in time I have NO idea where the story is going next.

Theory cast would be great because; I can't wait to see how the alternate future/reality Jack returns to the island to warn himself not to leave only to get stabbed or shot or drown or what have you. Unless Jacks dear old dad faked his death, which is why his coffin was empty, and Jack found out when he got back at which point I'm at a loss. Maybe even Lost. heh....

Earlier in the season, you discussed an article in IGM titled "the top 50 LOST loose ends". Recently, i've been re-watching season one and I'm being reminded of a ton of old questions - Who are Adam and Eve? Why did they have black and white stones in their pockets? etc, etc. It would be really fun to hear another rundown of remaining mysteries now that the snake is out of the mailbox. :)

My picks would be (in order of preference);

1. Theorycast. Maybe a bit tricky as nobody seems to know what is going on.

2. Top 50 Loose Ends -- or what's left of them. Maybe add a few new ones.

3. Book reviews -- but do something with a similar theme to LOST rather than a Sawyer libray book. The Stand springs to mind. Ideally something you've all read so that you have to do minimal work.

BTW .... not that I'm counting or anything
Assuming that, for the sake of sweepsweeks, LOST ends the same week next season as it ended this season (i.e. the last but one week in May) and stays on Wednesday S4 will end on 21st May. With another assumption being it's 16 one hour episodes not a two hour season opener followed by 12 one hour episodes and a two hour season finale or some combination of two hour and one hour episodes then counting back 16 weeks from 21st May then LOST will re-start on 6th Feb.

So some dates for your diary ….
21st July 2007 : 200 days to LOST S4. (i.e. this Saturday).
21st Oct 2007: 108 days to LOST S4
29th Oct 2007 : 100 days to LOST S4.
18th Dec 2007 : 50 days to LOST S4.

I was re-watching "Flashes before your eyes" today and noticed that when Desmond runs into charlie busking on the street corner in London, charlie's name is on his sign as "Charlie Hieronymus Pace" - crazy name - check the wiki on it..."Hieronymus" is also known as "Geronimo" as in "Geronimo Jackson"

Personally, I'd like to see how previous theories stand up based on what we know. A lot of previous theories now can be validated or disproven based on what we've seen in season three. Review the previous theorycasts and see where you stand today on those theories.

I would definitely enjoy a theory podcast, although I'm sure that anything you guys put out will ease my Lost withdrawal. I've recently started watching S1 and S2 again, and plan on going all the way through the end of S3. I understand that the Lost universe is huge, but any sort of all-encompassing recap of Lost so far. I don't know about the rest of you guys and gals, but at the end of the S3 finale, my biggest question was "Where do we go from here?".

I'd also be interested in some of the relevant books. I know of someone that can predict what will happen next because he reads all of the books that the writers are into, so it would be awesome to learn a little more about the literature that influences the show.

Ive just sat through a 9 hour flight from london to canada and was initially annoyed when one of the films was Frequency with Dennis Quaid- which I have seen god knows how many times. Until I realised that it was all to do with communicating across time/ time shifts etc and the killer is called Jack Shephard. Surely the writers of lost can't be referencing Frequency?

Another possibility I would like to hear is a real order discussion of some of the main characters. For maybe the top characters - maybe Locke, Jack, Desmond - a discussion of their timelines in order with crossovers with other characters.

We have seen the crossovers between characters and their interwoven pasts become important, will flash forward crossovers also matter as much?

We know she really is Alex's mother but is she an outcast Other or is her scientific research shipwreck story true. What of the sickness that sent her crew mad ? The jigsaws apparently say it's not real. What of Brennan and the keys and Monton (sp?) and his lost arm ?

I would like it very much a chronological over veiw of the LOST story thus far. Split into two avenues. 1)Island 2)Flash Backs. I know writers create time tables to keep accuracy and continuity. A chronological look at things might reveal something new.

I think an epic ReviewCast should come before a TheoryCast. As was mentioned above, we should at least review everything we know before questioning what we don't know. Plus, we *are* halfway through the series, at least in terms of number of seasons.

On a housekeeping note, I posted last season using the name Brian never making the connection with the official part-time lostcaster. I just wanted to officially get out and make sure none of my garbage was associated with him... so I guess I'll change my name to the Unofficial Brian to keep it clear.

Well now's as good a time as any to mention this. I looked into this new ABC.com HD-quality online streaming (which, by the way, is pretty damn good), and the one episode of LOST they had was the Looking Glass. It got me to thinking... (add in the standard disclaimers of apology if this has been mentioned before, but I haven't seen it)... Jack sure was having a hard time getting "back" to the island. Figure, sure, he's whacked out on happy juice and wacky pills, but he's still a smart guy. If he really wanted to, he could just search for the island like, say, Penny and the Portuguese guys were *presumably* doing. So why couldn't Jack find the island? Was he just too lazy to look?

Or, maybe whatever was hiding it in the first place was re-established sometime between the Hobbit's untimely demise and the flash-forward. Or perhaps some new mechanism for island hiding was deployed. Or maybe the writers will just pull the "haha, fooled you" card and delve into the concept of alternate timelines. (Just please don't let Biff own a Casino...)

Still, though, it at least me got to wondering if the demise of the island isn't a sure thing after all.

okay, i know i'm late to the party here, but here's what i would like... watch each season front-to-back, KNOWING WHAT YOU KNOW NOW, and post a podcast after each of what you didn't realize/notice before that you are seeing now. i think it'll be obvious that the writers have been dropping hints for years now that we never knew to pick up on, and the process would be both eye-opening, fun, AND start coalescing an overall theory that is closer to making sense.
