Posted by: Sam from Oakland | January 06, 2008 at 04:10 PM
anyways, now for a post that actually DOES something:
so I was watching the final episode last night on a plane ride home from Mexico and I noticed something that I'm sure has been said, but I am saying it again. The obituary that Jack found in the paper was on one of the main pages in the paper. Papers don't just put anybody's obituary on those pages, so my guess would be that it was someone IMPORTANT, maybe one of the "Ocianic 6." So yeah, just putting that out there.

Hey,
I have another little bit of information about Abaddon I thought you guys might be slightly interested in. There's a British TV show called Torchwood, the spin off from Doctor Who, and it also gets shown on BBC America. In the season 1 finale they come up against Abaddon, a monster who feeds off life. I doubt it's relevant but I just thought it was something you might be interested in!

Just a note about the comic con video - weren't the two rabbits the same rabbit? I thought that the Orchid station caused one rabbit to time travel, which would explain why everyone freaked out when they were near each other.

Great podcast!
A few things that popped into my head whilst listening.
I thought "Marvin Candle" gave a different name in each orientation video. I believe he was "Mark Waxman" in the pearl orientation. I don't think its Marvin's twin in the new video, just a continuation of his flame/wax based aliases.
The two number 15 rabbits getting too close together causing something bad to happen is an interesting one. It reminded me of matter and anti-matter. When a particle of matter and a particle of anti-matter get close they explode and make energy (or something like that). I have no idea if there's actually a connection but sounds like the kind of subject that Dharma would have a crazy experiment on.
Final thought, Abaddon=A bad one? Just sounds similar, probably doesn't mean anything :)
Keep up the good work guys!
Posted by: Lee_UK | January 06, 2008 at 09:22 PM
Thanks for the podcast guys, nice to see you back.
One fact I'm having trouble dealing with is this whole searching for the plane in the Sunda Trench thing. The Sundra Trench is north west of the West Australian coast line and to get there from Sydney you would essentially have to fly a diagonal across the entire Australian continent.
Why on Earth would a flight leaving Sydney, to the US, fly in the opposite direction? So why are people searching for them there?? Even more importantly, why would anyone believe that a plane bound for LA, from Sydney, could be off course to that extent???
Stay Lost
Posted by: West Sayid | January 06, 2008 at 09:39 PM
I agree with Connor and Lee, when I saw the second rabbit i thought it was the same rabbit, some version of matter and anti-matter. The second rabbit couldn't be actual anti-matter, because contact with any matter would cause a massive explosion.
However, that was my first thought when i saw the video. I don't think it's a twin or anything like that.
Anway, great podcast, thanks for coming back,
stay lost everyone

About the Marvin Candle character using different names.... hasn't he used a different name in each of the orientation videos we've seen him in??? Why is everyone making a big deal about this new orientation film being his twin???
Also, in the episode with Nikki and Paulo in the Pearl Station, Nikki says that the orientation film states that it is the FIFTH of SIX stations (that is of course if the film is telling the truth).

Yeah, I did notice in that Orchid video that the other rabit was another number 15. Interesting..... Maybe they are from alternate timelines, or something. If that could be, then couldnt (someone had this theory a LONG time ago) that theory about there being multiple of each Lostie or whatever possibly hold true? (I hope not, I personally dont like that idea, but im trying to further discussion).

Great podcast...slightly bummed when you didn't go through the clue hunt on find815...mainly because I count on you guys to explain things so my simple mind can understand...for example:
1. the clue featuring Charlie shows a CD cover for a live show Drive Shaft performed in Jakarta. This is where Sam is going to attempt to stowaway on the ChristianeI. Siginificance?
2. ChristianeI...any relation to Christian Sheppard?
3. the clue featuring Jacob's rocking chair...one of the photos is of a distinctly different rocking chair than the one shown in the other photos...ideas?
Thanks guys and welcome back

Hi, guys - glad you're back. Others have mentioned that in the Orchid movie, Hallowax is holding bunny #15, and is surprised to find bunny #15 is *also* behind him. In the Back to the Future movies, Doc Brown suggested that one person encountering his/her doppelganger in the same place and time would be disastrous - or not. Hopefully, it is a real danger in the LOST universe and this is what caused "the incident" (and possibly the loss of Hallowax/Candle's arm.)

A few thoughts to share after listening to your glorious 80 minute podcast (I even listened to the spoilers, because I figure there can't be THAT much that was spoilerish, which there wasn't.)
I'm telling you, the person in the casket is Michael--or at least is African-American (which narrows it down to Michael, Rose, and As-of-yet-unrevealed-character). Across the street from amusingly-named Hoffs/Drawlar Funeral Parlor is a barbershop, often a communal area in the black community (seen 2nd down at http://www.lostvirtualtour.com/lost/episode/3x23.html ), and of course the manager and/or owner of the Funeral Parlor is African-American.
I certainly hope that my suggestion doesn't come across as inflamatory or disrespectful (as I am not African-American). As I've done a bit of researching, I see that it's also been chatted about on chicagotribune.com, dallassouthblog.com, and lost-tv.tribe.net.
Now I know all the sayers of nay will claim "But the obituary doesn't say Michael Dawson, and that's his NAME!" Remember Ben? The crash survivor Goodwin? The fake button? Lost is all about us buying into false situations--heck, so is everyone in the Lost universe: the rest of their world things they are dead! Furthermore, as was mentioned in the podcast, who would everyone hate (except for the ever-predictable Jack) more than Michael? THAT is why Kate didn't go.
Ohhh, it's nice to be debating Lost again! I missed you guys!!

Hi guys, great podcast, glad to have you back on the air!
Just a couple of things I've been pondering for a few days now, that surfaced a bit more after listening to your theorycast:
The guy in the coffin - ok, he may or not be a survivor, but what if he is 'both'. TPTB have said they've always had a way to fit Walt back into the storyline despite the actor growing throughout his teenage years. If there is a greater impact on Walt's age/appearance, what's to say he is back in the USA, but under another name - surely he wouldn't be able to resume his 'Walt' identity if he had aged a lot since flight 815 crashed? What if he had aged, say, more than 5 years somehow, he could no way be rescued and fed to the public as 'Walt' the little boy that was on 815. And if he really was ageing a lot, and his identity was created/covered up, surely he'd have some cash to compensate him, and a down-town loft apartment sounds just what a 20-30yo might go for rather than a teenager leaving home would. (admittedly if he were to resume life as 'walt' he may well have lots of life insurance payouts from his dad's estate anyway, but if he were to have aged dramatically then maybe that's not an option.)
Also, with the new Lost web stuff happening, whether Sam is on the boat or not, it's possibly the best way to introduce a character to the show - the complete opposite of Paolo and Nicki. We learn his entire backstory off him with no flashbacks, we see him interacting with different people, including spooky little bits in one of the clips. Have TPTB learned their lesson from P+N and created not just a character but a purpose and a 'following' that are playing the webgame?
I don't know if the actor that plays Sam is experienced or not, but given half a lot of the cast were not well known could mean this guy might eventually play a massive role in the show if he ever gets on the island or meets with the survivors off it.
What does anyone think?
Posted by: tomt | January 09, 2008 at 01:11 PM

Anyone know if those 8 episodes we're getting include a 2 hour first episode, or if we're essentially getting episodes 1 & 2 on the first night?

Great to have you guys back! "Interesting" 'cast ;-)
Got to disagree with your statement that the 'eternals' are having reproductive problems. Richard plainly states to Locke that Ben is distracting them with fertility problems. I think the fertility problem is only with the people recruited to join. Ben was invited because the eternals didn't have anyone who could communicate with Jacob (Whoever they had died or was killed, etc). Therefore they are indebted to Ben and have indulged him in some of his side projects.
I'm thinking that the eternals hated the Dharmas for messing around with their Great Spirit. They were outsiders meddling with something they didn't understand.
Perhaps the eternals are galactic visitors with a plan and the Dharma activity was interfering with it.

Also, this run up to the season 4 Lost premiere is the worst time - I can't wait either.

@ Matt Lafferty
The obituary doesn't say Michael Dawson, and that's his NAME! :)
I do agree that the occupant of the coffin is probably black, but I’m guessing that it’s a character we haven’t met yet. There is a lot of ground to cover between the radio tower and ‘we need to go back!’ I hope there will be a dramatic moment soon when someone says ‘hello my name is Jeremy Bentham’.
For those of you who don’t frequent Dark UFO, they just posted a great speech from J.J. Abrams. He discusses his approach to writing and film making. It’s clear where the inspiration for the blast door map came from.
Posted by: frankmorris | January 11, 2008 at 01:27 AM
Tahir,
I can't say that it IS two new episodes, though now that you mention it you are probably right that it is a recap. I hunted around a little bit and couldn't find proof one way or the other (I'm anti-spoiler, so I was just playing it safe).
frankmorris,
I will admit that the obit doesn't SAY "Michael Dawson." But in these Bushian times, why let facts get in the way of a good story? Perhaps Michael wasn't his real name (ala Sawyer). Perhaps he changed his name due to events that happened in between his leaving Mystery Island and 2009 (or whenever we're figuring the "We've got to go back" future is). Maybe he took the room under a fake name, because some unknown baddies were after him. I'll be the first one to admit that I could be wrong, especially if it's a character that we don't know yet. But I'm sticking to Michael is the guy in the coffin! Think of the symmetry: flashforward to Michael is dead, flashback to the return of Michael, end the season and/or storyline with... Michael is dead!
Posted by: Matt Lafferty | January 11, 2008 at 04:23 PM
I too think the most likely person in the coffin is Micheal. I figure that he'd want to change his name after the other survivors (at least Jack and Kate and probably others) got back to the real world. After all they know what he did (i.e killed Ana-Lucia and Libby) so he'd want to go into hiding. In a similar way Kate probably is no longer called Kate Austin or Dodd but has taken on a different name to escape the whole murder of her father gig (unless she recieves some pardon). I think Jack kept his name as he had nothing to hide and therefore was a 'hero twice over'. Furthermore I think Micheal may well be on the rescue boat but I wonder if he led them there or just begged a place on the boat somehow. I really really want to see the flashback of Micheals arrival/rescue and the story of how the boat got to the island.
All that said according to Lostpedia we should ignore the newspaper clipping as the producers have said many times they are going to re-write it. Is this true ? Here's the link ....
http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Coffin_%28Through_the_Looking_Glass%29/Theories
I thought that the flashforward was to sometime in 2007.
Posted by: Mark B | January 11, 2008 at 10:44 PM
Mark B,
Great pick-up on the whole Kate situation with her still being a criminal in the eyes of the law. Maybe she's not one of the Oceanic 6, maybe there's more but not 'official'. Surely if a big organisation can find the island etc they can force her/give her the option to take up a false ID to stop her going to prison.
Another thought (& question) - did they say we'd find out if ate was pregnant in the coming season? (Since Juliette was going to test her) or was that already settled?? The only reason I say it is that when she says "he'll be expecting me" could it feasibly be a child? Not a boyfiend/husband?? I don't know what time it gets dark in the city they were in, so could it be 8pm-ish rather than late late when they meet by the airport? Please correct me if my memory of lines/events is not 100%, I ahven't watched the finale since it aired.
Posted by: tomt | January 12, 2008 at 08:20 AM
Mark B,
Thanks for the WONDERFUL link to lostpedia.com! I agree with you that it does claim that the writers will rewrite the article. I poked around a very little bit online and couldn't find direct proof of them saying it; if anyone does have proof, please share!
Mark's link has an absolutely facinating section (the section itself is found at http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Coffin_%28Through_the_Looking_Glass%29/Theories#Casket_size) about the size of the coffin relative to Jack's arm; it has a lot of math that suggests that the dead person is (at the time of death) "no taller than 5'1"." It mentions that perhaps the height could be effected by something (mutilation, violence), but that the funeral director offering to open the casket suggests the person is "viewable."
Some food for thought!

I think the huge break with no update has done damage to these guys. There used to be alot of comments on here after a cast now all we have is 56.Well hope people come back soon.
Posted by: Sam | January 13, 2008 at 08:01 PM
I don't think mid-50's is that bad for a non-episode or non-Get Ready comment section. Remember most people who listen don't comment. I saw more new names on the comments section in Summertime Blues just slagging the guys off for not podcasting. With fans like those who needs detractors.
To be honest there wasn't much to comment on other than to say "Great cast and glad to have you back".
If people chose to leave then it'll be just like LOST and it's shinking viewers. Lots of people have stopped watching LOST and I feel sorry for them too.
The worst hour of LOSTcasts is better than the best hour of any other LOST podcast.
Posted by: Mark B | January 13, 2008 at 10:24 PM
Well well well Mark,
Contrary to popular believe, Lost has NOT had a serious loss in ratings! There was an early bump in season two, but it seems that most of those people were "casual" viewers.
The averages are as follows:
Season 1: 16.1 million viewers with 5.8 mil in the 18-49 demo
Season 2: 15.5 with 6.4 in the key demo
Season 3: 14.6 with 6.3 in the key demo
Indeed, "Over the course of the spring season, ratings would plunge to as low as 11 million viewers before recovering to near 14 million for the season finale. The ratings drop was partially explained when Nielsen released DVR ratings, showing Lost as the most recorded series on television. "
So overall, it's a decrease of 1.5 million (which given some of the suckage last season, ABC should be ok with that. Heck, it IS ok with it, it renewed it for another 24 episodes past what the contract was!)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_tv#Ratings
Posted by: Matt Lafferty | January 14, 2008 at 04:28 PM
Well well Matt,
A drop of 1.5 million is a drop of almost 10%. Pretty significant. But still at 14.5 million LOST must still be a top ten show. And it's up in the key demographic -- which is kind of a huge at a spread of 18-49 !
I thought the new contract was for 3 seasons of 16 episodes making 48.
In any case they're not going to cancel LOST unless the writers strike just runs and runs .....

Hello Everyone! Hope everyone had a lovely holiday season and is enjoying the new year.
I'm also thrilled to be back and see the boards active again. Here's to another great season! Hopefully 16 episodes and not 8 -- greedy bastard networks need to pony up some dough for our beloved writers.
So now that reading through the board has gotten my creative Lost gears spinning again, I'd like to throw three observations out there on the topics that have been discussed.
(1) Bunny #15, Bunny #15, Time, Space and the Casimir Effect
I won't rehash what was said above -- I'll assume that everyone has some familiarity with the orientation video for the Orchid hatch. Yes, we see Marvin Candle (Hallowax, Wickmund) again and with two functional arms this time -- but what I found most interesting was his mention of a "Casimir Effect" on the Island. A brief look on Wiki tells us that the Casimir effect is an attraction between objects on the quantum level -- and that "the quantum mechanics of the Casimir effect can be used to produce a locally mass-negative region of space-time, and that negative effect could be used to stabilize a wormhole to allow faster than light travel." We also recall that Aldo, the guard outside of Room 23, was reading Hawking's "A Brief History of Time" and had the page open to the discussion of black holes and wormholes. Of course, that piggybacks on Room 23's secret message, "Only fools are enslaved by time and space." Do we now have at least part of the Island's secret? Is it housing a wormhole? A way to travel backwards and forwards in time? Is that why we have two #15 bunnies in the Orchid orientation video, are they the same bunny but from different time periods? By letting them get too close do we risk some sort of (Star Trek-esque) disturbance in the space-time continuum?
(2) Who is in the Coffin at Hoffs/Drawlar?
I recall that we deconstructed this question substantially after the last episode last season, and what's missing from the discussion on this thread is the text of the obituary that Jack was reading several times in the season finale. Included in that obituary was: (1) the name "Jeremy Bentham" or "Jeremy --tham," as best we could read it; (2) some mention that the body was discovered after loud noises and a struggle; and (3) that the deceased had a teenage son. Those three things, and the fact that the funeral parlor was in an African-American community -- apologies, I hope I'm not offending anyone -- led me to think that the man in the coffin was Michael. But who knows if everything in that obituary was accurate? After all, if the "Oceanic 6" are trying to disguise themselves after being rescued, perhaps there are some fake identities involved?
(3) Desmond's Future Friends: Ms. Hawking, Brother Campbell and... Libby?
I was rewatching some of Season 3 a few days ago with my father (just getting him caught up, he loves it) and we finished on Desmond's time-traveling jaunt after turning the key in the Swan Hatch. I was paying careful attention during the scene in which Desmond buys Penny's ring and meets Ms. Hawking for the first time. As Desmond enters the shop, a man is seen exiting in the background. He has very close-cropped, grey-white hair. It looked to me like Brother Campbell. The photo that we later of see Ms. Hawking and Brother Campbell established for many of us sort of a precognitive cult that is watching Desmond -- a group of Time Guardians, for lack of a better term. These people are out there, directing Desmond's life and ensuring that he meets Penny, gets on the sailboat and crashes on the Island. Who else do we know that plays such an integral role in Desmond's life? Who else but Libby? She gives him the boat! It always seemed strange when Libby gave Desmond her boat after hearing his story. Is the explanation that Libby can be counted among these precognitive few who watch over Desmond? Wouldn't that be interesting...
A few thoughts on this theory. Anyone recall 12 Monkeys, in which a time-traveling Bruce Willis goes a little wonky and winds up in a mental institution after talking about the future? Could that be Libby's reason for being there as well? And, might Libby have known about her own death at Michael's hand (possibly from her own vision, possibly from Hawking or Cambpell) and she engineered her own presence down in the Swan Hatch at the right time, knowing as Hawking does, that death is unavoidable once it is forseen?
Love to hear everyone's thoughts on these three theories.

Well Mark,
I'll grant you that there has been an almost 10% drop. Personally, I'd bet that most of those people just moved on to watching the show on DVD or the internet, but if they're not being counted for ratings then it does negatively reflect on the show.
As for the renewal, the show was contracted to run for one season of 24 episodes (this season, season 4). It was reworked to be a new deal for seasons 4, 5, and 6, at 16 per. So while it's 48 episodes that we have left, it's 24 beyond what was expected this time last year.
And Kathy,
Indeed, it's nice that things are heating up 'round these parts!
Posted by: Matt Lafferty | January 15, 2008 at 03:34 PM
@Matt,
If the same rate of fall off continues (i.e. 10% over three seasons) then by the end of it all there will still be over 14 million people watching LOST on tv. Not bad for a weird sci-fi show that nobody understands but watches every week just in case they throw out a morsel.
Sorry, I misread your comment about the renewal.
@Radzinsky,
1. Yes the two rabbits being the same one from different times is what people proposed at the time of first seeing the Orchid video. Furthermore it has been suggested that the incident (and Candle losing his arm) may have been caused by two objects from different times touching. In the video Dharma seemed to have no control over the rabbits appearance which would suggest an accident was likely.
2. Micheal seems to be many peoples choice for being in the coffin. However TPTB have (according to Lostpedia) said that the newspaper obit will be re-written. I've not heard that myself but it's on Lostpedia at http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Coffin_%28Through_the_Looking_Glass%29/Theories
See comments above for posts by others on that subject including one about the size of the coffin.
3. Nice theory and one that has merit. Not sure about her death being pre-planned though -- that action seems to have had little direct effect on Desmond. I would suggest, if your theory is true, she may have been placed on the island to watch Desmond but given we know the plane was downed by accident it seems unlikely.... unless of course the "Guardians" knew that Des would bring the plane down so placed Libby on the plane. These time-twists are so hard to follow and tend to be full on loopholes. Anyway I hope we hear more from Libby. Desmond is an intriging character and has gaps in his back story. What did he do to end up in military prison for example ? Why is he often refered to as a coward ? Are they the same reason ?
Posted by: Mark B | January 15, 2008 at 08:48 PM
@ Mark B
I'm more interested in the "Casimir" portion of the Orchid orientation video and what it means for the unique properties of the Island. If there is indeed some wormhole-type anomaly on the Island it could be responsible for almost everything we've seen so far: the Others supposed immortality, Desmond's jaunt through time and precognition, the Island not showing up on any map, maybe even Jacob? This topic is very intriguing.
Curious that you brought up Marvin Candle's missing arm. Every time it's mentioned I go back to Rousseau's comment in the Season 1 finale, as she and the Losties walk into the Dark Territory on their way to the Black Rock. She says, "this is where Montagne lost an arm." Montagne... close to Marvin, close to Marc... not as close to Edgar... but still... made me think: (1) that Marvin Candle was a more active Dharma participant than just the host of various orientation videos and (2) Rousseau has some history with Dharma that she's not telling us about, if she was indeed present when Marvin Candle lost his arm.
Just food for thought.
If the obituary that Jack was looking at is changing, all bets for the body in the coffin are off.
My Libby theory is really pretty frivolous, I'll admit -- I'm just very interested in the role that Ms. Hawking and Brother Campbell seem to play. At the very least, they seem to be some other faction that has yet to weigh in on events... and if Libby were also involved... that certainly would turn everything on its head.

Ok here is a problem,The others on the freighter have said that they will save you only if you perform one of these tasks A)Give Hurley a blow job. B)Give Bernard a blow job. C)Go down on Rose.Which one do you pick? And remember you will be saved.

Just been re-watching S3 and got to Man from Tallahassee and knowing what we know now about what happens in the flash forward from the finale (i.e. it's not good for Jack) it strikes me that perhaps Locke has some Desmond like abilities to see the future and so he is in fact attempting to stop the Losties getting back becasue he somehow knows that the future is not that bright. Remember Locke was the second closest to the centre of the electromagnetic pulse when Des turned the key so perhaps he has some less powerful flashes. Or, on the other hand, it could be that he's gone bonkers.

Anyone seen Cloverfield?
Thumbs up or down?
Posted by: frankmorris | January 20, 2008 at 07:17 PM
I just came from Cloverfield and I would have to say a big big thumbs up. For my fellow dorks that seem to think that anything produced by Bad Robot should have at least one obscure Lost reference, bummer, no Dharma logos to be found. Very enjoyable for the weird experimental movie that it is. Take Blair Witch, add talented actors/writers/directors, a huge production budget, and a much steadier camcorder and you have something like Cloverfield. Worth seeing on a BIG screen.
As for the last podcast, I'm going to throw it a 8.5-9.5 simply because it was above average and its been so damn long! I enjoyed it enough to listen a second time.

Mark B,
Thanks for the links about the writers strike! If I remember correctly from the Lost DVDs, it takes about a month to do an episode ASSUMING there is a completed script: 1 week preproduction, 2 weeks (10 5 day weeks) of shooting, and 1 week of postproduction. Now obviously the preproduction and postproduction overlap with shooting of the next episode and whatnot, but my point is that IF they had a completed script and could start working preproduction next Monday (Jan 28th), then it's the end of February before the episode can be aired. If my math is right, they would eventually get to a point where every two weeks an episode is complete. At that rate, they would still run out of episodes perhaps around episode 10.
My bet is that if the strike is settled very soon, ABC will produce the remaining 8 and save them for the fall; then this summer when TV shows normally start production up again, they'll just make the next 16 to be aired for 2009.
Of course, this is all a moot point if there are not completed scripts for episodes 9-16.
Perhaps if that terribly bright and completely anonymous Disney Burbank source were around, she could tip us off as to some of the logistical workings of Hollywood!
Posted by: Matt Lafferty | January 21, 2008 at 10:36 AM
I'm going to light a candle in hopes that if we run out of episodes and a new episode is completed every two weeks, they just start airing new episodes every other week! Granted, this season's production will bleed into next season's production, but they're behind and they need to catch up for the sake of all their crew members who haven't been paid for a few months.

Ok here is the problem on the island there is an electrified double ended dildo it MUST be plugged into two characters but their names must start with a vowel so which two are they?Once the circuit is complete not only will they both 'get off'in a rainbow of ecstasy,But the rescue becon will be lit!Good Luck

It certainly is more than understandable that John doesn't spend his time watching out for questionable content here (just keep the rest of your life in order so we'll get a podcast every weekend starting in February, my friend!). Given that, it's a pity that there aren't others who have the responsibility/authority to remove questionable comments. Heck, there's a b-board that does amateur pictu... well, what's on it isn't the point, but I know of a site that has user-submitted content, and even THAT has volunteers who can remove comments that are inapropriate!
Tyler,
I'll light a candle too! It's ironic that the issue for the writers' strike is "new media," because I'm catching up on "Looking Glass" on the ABC website and not by renting or buying.
Geeze, is it the 31st yet?
Posted by: Matt Lafferty | January 21, 2008 at 07:55 PM
More irony ... I was just re-watching DOC. In case you've forgotten this is the episode where the 'second' story is about Naomi being injured and Mikhail saving her and Des agreeing to let him go. Charlie is totally against it and thinks they should have killed him. If only Des had listened.
Posted by: Mark B | January 21, 2008 at 10:14 PM
@Radzinsky
Don't the dates on the Orientation videos where Candle has his arm mean that he can't be Montagne ?
Assuming that Rousseaux is telling the truth about being on the island 16 years and killing her team shortly thereafter.

As for the dildo question,To connect the circuit I would pick Alex (Bens Daughter) & Ethan. Yay Im free!

Hollywood's striking writers, signaling a possible thaw in the 3-month-old labor dispute, have agreed to drop two demands that studios have long viewed as non-starters.

No offense, Cameron. But that circut board thingy was like three weeeks ago, and the solutions are all over the internets. Figure it out and shut up.

I had trouble with it the first time i tried it. It gets easier though, I recommend doing the smallest one first so you get the hang of it. If you just want to get it over with though, i looked up the article posted on the find815 blog for you, so here's the link:

I've completed all the realeased chapters of Find815 (without cheating). The circuit board WAS hard and I found to only way to do it was to take screenshoots.
Its good fun and really, it isn't that hard.

FYI, The 2 hour finale from May will be rerun this Wednesday at 9pm (or 8pm for y'all in the Central Time Zone!). The 8pm "episode" on Thursday is indeed a recap, but I for one have always found the recap episodes to be useful and enjoyable.
Lastly, if the strike IS settled soon, USA Today reports that "based on Lost's previous production schedule, five or six more episodes likely could be produced by the end of May if the writers' strike is settled by mid-February." Read more at http://www.usatoday.com/life/television/news/2008-01-24-lost-main_N.htm?csp=34
I'll repeat what I've said before: I personally would rather them show the remaining 8 episodes when they all have them; to me, the best solution would be to shoot what you can post-strike before a summer break, then pickup again after the break and show the "rest" of season 4 in the fall, with season 5's 16 episodes a year from now. But hey, that's just me!
Posted by: Matt Lafferty | January 26, 2008 at 05:43 PM
I read that the S3 finale that is being shown on 30th is going to have some enhancement with "on-screen facts and back story".
If the strike is settled in time (which I don't think it will be), my preference would be for the 16 episodes to be shown back-to-back and to hell with sweeps weeks at the end of May. Run two or three weeks into June. Why would a season finale suddenly get more viewers than a new episode from earlier ? People who are still watching are those that will watch to the end. LOST is not suddenly going to find another million viewers for a finale and I'd be surprised if they lost many over the course of the season.
Posted by: Mark B | January 26, 2008 at 05:57 PM
Stuff from abc on the enhanced S3 finale ....
The enhanced version of "Lost" will include text on the lower third of the screen and will "let viewers in" on clues in the show, as well as give back story to catch new viewers up for Season Four.

@TylerJ: Actually there is a lost reference in Cloverfield; when the movie begins after the colored bars you see the Dharma logo flash on the screen for a second.
