Just when you thought we'd been gassed in a van, LOSTCasts has returned.
Despite an extremely long hiatus, and some well deserved flames on the site, we're gearing up for the new season with a podcast this Sunday... which begs the question, what should we talk about? Send us your thoughts via email, post them in a comment here. You can also leave us an audio comment by calling our new automated voicemail at: 206-350-8688.

Whew. Welcome back gents.

Long time no hear! Great to hear things are up and running again :)
Roll on Sunday.

i had just started to go back and listen to the old podcasts and i was sad that i would never hear these guys again, but they came through. Happy to have them back
Posted by: jonathan | January 02, 2008 at 11:29 PM
Finally, i can quit listening to your re-runs over and over at work! By the way, my favorite is probably LOSTCasts 29, the season finale of season 2. Got me through the last 6 months. booyahhhhhhh

Good riddance to Cliff Ravenscraft *deletes from iPod*
Posted by: peter | January 03, 2008 at 02:25 AM
Welcome back, I've missed your cast. I was afraid you guys may not come back.
I think you should talk promos (the 'number 6' theories), and predictions about the new season, who goes, who stays, who's on the boat, and what they want.
Welcome back
Posted by: Awaken | January 03, 2008 at 02:31 AM
First time posting, millionth time checking my podcast feeds for a new Lostcast. Welcome back and thank you!!
* Writer's Strike - is season 4 100% completed, or is there potential for the season to be affected by the Strike?
* Love the new title graphic in the promos: specifically the reflection of the island in the water appears to be skyscrapers in place of trees...thoughts?
Thanks again and I look forward to listening on Sunday!

Guys, you've just made my day. Welcome back.
general recap would be good as well as a look at the missing pieces episodes & and some news on how the writers strike may affect lost
Posted by: DannyBoy | January 03, 2008 at 03:13 AM
Welcome back to the BEST Lost podcast.
Can't wait to hear it.
Thanks guys.
Posted by: Tahir | January 03, 2008 at 06:00 AM
Thank you guys for coming back, and good riddance to all those people whining when it was obvious you'd come back when things began to heat up again. I hope they have all gone so your true fans can get some juicy podcast goodness :)
Trust me, those flames were not well deserved. I have to keep up an Internet Media thing every week, and often find myself slipping to every few months. Everyone does it, but the point is that you're back now, so let's forget about 2007 and move onto 2008 baby!
Posted by: Matthew | January 03, 2008 at 06:01 AM
Damn, I was just getting used to the recipes.lol
Posted by: Sasha | January 03, 2008 at 06:09 AM
Hooray!
I don't check the forums - I just look on here every few days.
Loop, dude! Loop.
Last Lost news I really got was the "beam a bunny" video (Orchid?). That was ages ago. I need to know everything!
Looking forward to the podcast. No pressure!

I'm a long time listener, but first time poster. It's great to hear that you guys are back! I do thoroughly enjoy the casts. However, I also really enjoy the usual high quality of conversation on the message boards. Thus, I have been saddened by its decline and vandalism. I hope that with the revival of the cast the board will be restored to its former glories!

sorry if this has been covered..........i was watching season 3 again, and when desmond is in the monastery, he gets "fired"......while in the head monks office, we see a picture on his desk, of him and mrs hawking.....any ideas?
Posted by: brian | January 03, 2008 at 09:48 AM
YES!:) It is a Happy New Year. Welcome back boys. Alot of us never doubted you would be back
Posted by: Frankmagnet | January 03, 2008 at 09:57 AM
I THINK I JUST DIED AND WENT TO HEAVEN!!! I too have been rewatching episodes and old lostcasts and I am SO excited for Sunday!! WELCOME BACK!! (And I agree with Matthew, the fire was NOT deserved.)
Anyway, while I was listening to the discussion about the Obituary from "The Looking Glass," I just wanted to throw in my two cents... I think it's possible that the man was Michael and that perhaps Walt (accidently or not) caused Michael to commit suicide (like he does with the birds)? Ya, ok, I don't think that's what happened, but it's something that crossed my mind. ALSO, about the tower condos... if anyone watches "Build It Bigger" there was an episode about a new condo tower in Chicago being built by Trump, his plan is to have people move into the bottom floors as they are completed while STILL doing construction on the top to complete the project. SO, the death still could have been at a construction site that had a doorman. Like I said, just my two cents. :)
STAY LOST!!!

This is outstanding news. Sorry for all the posts (some of which I didn't actually write). I was just having a bit of fun. Glad you're back.

Praises be to Jacob! I've missed you guys.

I am glad to see that you are coming back. Everyone's suggestions for the next podcast are right on target. However, could you also discuss the new Lost Experience website, i.e., find815.com? What are your opinions of the new "game"? It seems less ... let's say complicated than earlier incarnations of the Lost Experience, but it might provide some interesting information.
Thanks, and I look forward to listening.
Posted by: Rob W | January 03, 2008 at 11:53 AM
Welcome back! So excited to hear you will be podcasting once again. I'd be interested to hear what you think about the Lost: Missing Pieces scenes up on the ABC site.
Thanks!
Posted by: ElizaB | January 03, 2008 at 11:57 AM
Whatever happened to the Lostcasts video podcast that was once going to happen?
Sure they said they might do it with Jay and Jack?
Really glad you guys are back.
Carl In the Uk
Ps whats going on with this 'Find 815"... is it from the guys from Lost?
Posted by: Carl In the UK | January 03, 2008 at 12:15 PM
Another new website pops up on the internet.
http://the-maxwell-group.com/
It's embedded in the e-mail on find815.com
Cool
Posted by: Showcasefloyd | January 03, 2008 at 12:20 PM
@ Carl In the UK
In answer to your question, yes, it appears that it is brought to us by the people from Lost. There are videos and details on the more famous passengers on Oceanic 815 (in the notebook on the desk). Moreover, one of the activities links to the ABC website, wherein one has to complete another activity and suffer through commercials for less-than-stellar programming. It also relates to the flyoceanicair.com website, which has a new video for Oceanic Airlines.
Posted by: Rob W | January 03, 2008 at 12:22 PM
Talk about the "Missing Pieces" and "Find 815". I want to know what other people think of them.
Posted by: Decboy | January 03, 2008 at 12:32 PM
Razzle Dazzle, Thank Jacob you are back.
We need a marathon Theory-cast.
Other Podcasts do recaps, Character analysis etc. but only LOSTCASTS can truly do LOST Theories.
I knew you would return, like Boone said to John Locke in the sweat lodge "you'll speak when you have something worth saying."
It's good to have you back guys!
Posted by: Hatch Monkey. | January 03, 2008 at 01:05 PM
Welcome Back guys, great to hear you are podcasting again in time for the new season.
From my point of view it would be nice to hear what some of the main theories and teasers that have been going on since LOST went into hiatus. I havn't been "getting LOST" much online since the end of season 3 so I, along with many others would appreciate a summary of these main theories and teasers.
Stay LOST!

Wow, I'm so glad to hear from you guys!!
I cannot wait to hear all the speculation concerning the new trailers.
Thanks so much for sticking around, even when you had a lot of angry people about :)

just watched the epsiode where des appears 2go back in time.
the woman who won't sell him the ring lists eveything he is going 2 do and then says
"and if you don't all of US ARE DEAD"
the fact she said "are dead" instead of something like are going to die, or will die, made me think. i feel this hints that desmond is (at that point) in an alternate reality/timeline. and if he doesnt go thru eveything she said, do the boat race, crash on the island, push the button etc... that alternate reality/timeline won't exsist and she and everyone in that world will essenially be dead.
wot do you guys think? reading to much into things?
Posted by: DannyBoy | January 03, 2008 at 02:56 PM
I am SO glad you guys are back!! I've been checking back regularly and hoping against hope you'd return! You make watching Lost a "community event"! So, what are your thoughts on "Find 815", "Missing Pieces", and the upcoming season?? Again, thrilled to see you return!!!
Posted by: GAcyclist | January 03, 2008 at 03:04 PM
Really glad to see y'all back
Reading though all of the impersonations has been quite funny and worrying at times
Looking forward to the next cast

AWESOME! Welcome back guys, and girl - the lady's coming back too, right? :)
Good to see the Lostcasts back in the hizzouse! I want to hear your thoughts on the statement made at ComiCon 2007 regarding HP, and the Jack=Jacob theory.

Welcome back!
I’m sure you guys will do what you do best as we gear up for season 4. I hope (as I suspect) that you guys could care less about the ‘flames’ from all the juvenile, narcissistic bastards who think you owe them a pod cast. I don’t even fault you for not checking in. It must have been interesting to watch your site devolve into a monkey.
Hope you had a great well deserved break and a merry Christmas.
We need to go back!!!
Posted by: frankmorris | January 03, 2008 at 08:21 PM
I don't care what you dudes talk about as long as i have your sweet sweet tones on ipod for when i go to work on tuesday.
Welcome back

Like a salve on sunburned shoulders, the news that the Lostcasts crew is back brings a sigh of relief.
I'd love a show that covered all the SDSs (suddenly dropped story lines)...anyone remember adam and eve and the marbles?
Or a show on the impacts of lost in common culture, and what's the most absurd reference you've run across...
Can't wait to hear the pc.
Posted by: Pill | January 03, 2008 at 10:21 PM
Christmas Day in the morning!
You guys should consider covering what the hell is going on with the new Oceanic website. Any thoughts on when we might get the second half of Season 4? Also maybe run through the decent Missing Pieces episodes.

I think it would be great to discuss the clip they released at comicon with the dharma station as well as the season 4 trailers. It might be nice to havev an overall recap of what happened in season 3 since its been awhile. Maybe a discussion on the special features on the dvd set? Thanks for making a podcast this weekend, im really looking forward to sunday!

The Writers Strike.
Does anyone know what the cut off date is when is becomes official that there will only be 8 episodes this season/year ?
Will we then have to wait almost a year for the next batch of episodes ?
Posted by: Tahir | January 04, 2008 at 01:56 AM
Great news, and sorry for the jerks on the previous blog entry. Though you guys could've communicated better.

@poo bear
Although LOST is back I just had one question regarding your peach salad. Do you add the sugar after or before slicing them.(I added after and it tasted sour) Thanks in advance. Good to see you guys back.
Stay LOST

an outpouring of emotion.............ahhhh
Posted by: brian | January 04, 2008 at 07:56 AM
question! is it possible that the writers/producers are lying about what is going on with the show? meaning, every theory and them some has been shot down by darlton...you think that one of those theories has to be on target! they have to be just simply not telling us the whole truth, right?
Posted by: brian | January 04, 2008 at 10:18 AM
Are you guys aware that there is a whole new ARG going on right now?
You should really check into it and report on it in your podcast!
: )
Posted by: Bsleven | January 04, 2008 at 12:15 PM
Guys - absolutely great news that you will be back. I am one of those who has been waiting by watching Season 2 and replaying your casts for each episode-hope to get in Season 3 in the next month. I too think a theory cast is in order, and speculation on what the new season will hold (Does Ben live? Will there be future views of other lostaways who have made it off the island in flash-forwards? etc.)
Posted by: JimM | January 04, 2008 at 12:57 PM
Yay! Welcome back - missed ya! I am also in favor of a recap to help us all remember what the heck was going on all those months ago. Also, would love to hear about the season 3 DVD set - I haven't got it and can't wait to hear about the extras. And, similar to my first request, it would be great to hear what we know about the big myths. (E.g., we know what the numbers mean, but how the heck did they show up in the lottery?)
Happy 2008 Lostcasters!
Posted by: krismi | January 04, 2008 at 05:47 PM
Yes! It'll be awesome to get back to your wisdom. On monday I have to be at school studying from 8am to 8pm. If I haven't died because being too tired or bored, the first thing I do when I get home is to listen your podcast!
We truly missed you!
Posted by: Kane | January 04, 2008 at 08:01 PM
Let's talk about the "missing pieces" episodes that have been on ABC.com!
Posted by: Herr Zrbo | January 04, 2008 at 08:03 PM
dont bother discussing the dvd. if we wanted to know about it we would have gone out and bought it. talk about the season 3 ending/season 4/locke/sawyer/ben. that is all most people want to know about.
Posted by: john stead | January 05, 2008 at 06:55 AM
i wouldn't reccomend discussing most of the 'missing pieces episodes', especially the one which featured 'artz'.
the only decent ones were the ones with michael/walt.

Great to see you are coming back.
Probably too late but I'd quite like to have;
1. A quick overview of S3 and where we were with everyone.
2. Some theories and predictions for S4. Who will get off the island. Who will stay. What the people arriving really want.
3. Discuss the trailers.
4. A look back at the Top 50 Loose Ends and any new ones that may have come up since.
5. Discuss the effect of the strike. Is S4 doomed to be an eight episode season ?
6. The new websites which I have totally missed
7. The Mobisodes
8. Who is in the coffin 8-)
9. Plans for Lostcasts between now and the new season and beyond.
Posted by: Mark B | January 05, 2008 at 03:11 PM
Does anyone have a screencap of the new title graphic (with the reflection)?
Great news that Lostcasts will be back : )

Vanity Fair interview with Matthew Fox. Well worth a read, plus confirms what I thought and many said about the whole thing with his dad in S3 finale, seen as it did seem to confuse people.

has anyone started find 815??? its like another lost experience until the premiere airs!!!
Posted by: lmnop | January 05, 2008 at 11:31 PM
here are just a few things i would like to see talked about.
#1 and most important. writters strike. do you know if it will effect lost?
#2 find815.com is this another lost experiance.
#3 missing peices. what new information can be gained from these little clips. and finally
#4 what awsome things could we expect in this season. and are there any new characters.
Posted by: Emily | January 05, 2008 at 11:48 PM
I think you've got ample content to talk about between Season 4 predictions, the mobisodes, the trailer... Looking forward to it!

How did Hugo catch up with Sawyer and Juliet in the (season finale?) episode where they were going back to the beach to save The Dentist, Sayid and Jin. Lets face it, Hugo is big and we've seen that he can be slow too.
