Wow, a Saturday night podcast. Thanks!!! I loved this episode, definitly worth the wait. Though it was a risk to put Hurley in the premier spotlight, but alas, no worries. Awesome episode.

Next time, could you guys not spoil a recent movie (recent as in still in theaters) that a lot of us here, including myself, may not have watched yet, but wanted to in the near future and was looking forward to watching completely unspoiled. I can understand a movie that's been out for a long time, like Jaws, but Cloverfield is really new and a lot of us who want to watch it just didn't get the chance yet to. I just felt it was typical Homer Simpson walking out of Empire Strikes Back in the theater and yelling outloud to the crowd in line, "Wow, who would've thought Darth Vader was Luke Skywalker's dad!?" I know you guys might say what you guys talked about doesn't matter in the enjoyment of the movie but still, some people don't want any spoilers for movies just like there's a lot of Lost people here who don't want ANY spoilers for episodes.

Trust LostCasts to return a few days after I quit my job which was perfect for podcast listening.
Have yet to listen to cast #60, but am glad I've already seen Cloverfield!
So...Lost. I wonder if Naomi was a manifestation? I was sure that in the low angle shot of the knife sticking out of her, with Ben in the background, she looked very pale, and, you know, newly dead. But I cant remember if manifestations in this show are physical or hallucinatory, and a manifestation would probably not bother with a message to a sister (unless it really was code-speak), but anyway, I've no idea what I'm babbling about anymore.
Thank God Lost is back.
Posted by: Cihan | February 03, 2008 at 07:44 AM
me thinks missing piece #13 is a dream of jack's, similar to when hurley heard/saw jin speaking english in season 2. It occurs right before Jack wakes up. But on the otherhand, Vincent doesn't actually show up until after Jack is awake.
Posted by: robC | February 03, 2008 at 09:38 AM
I thought Cloverfield was an excellent B movie. I'm really glad I saw it 3 days ago, otherwise I'd hate you guys for spoiling the entire plot! Referencing a movie is one thing and talking about main plot points, but you guys went into way too much detail.
Posted by: robC | February 03, 2008 at 09:56 AM
What if Ben made a deal with Kate to cure her mom? Her mom was sick, and I think was a smoker...
Posted by: robC | February 03, 2008 at 09:59 AM
There is hardly a plot to spoil in Cloverfield. Monster attacks city. People run from monster. A group of people try to save their friend on the other side of town. They didn't give away any huge plot points. All they said is you don't see much of the monster, like Jaws. Those were hardly spoilers. They were things you could find in any review. Get over yourselves.
Posted by: Charlie's Stash | February 03, 2008 at 11:01 AM
I thought Kate's mom died.
I think Jacob took Christian's body. It explains why he has been showing up and why Christian was in Jacob's cabin. He also took Yemi's, which is why Eko saw him.
Maybe.........

Anyone catch the Oceanic's guy name that went to see Hurley....
Posted by: jeffinthe9 | February 03, 2008 at 12:01 PM
Oceanic 6
Jack we know
Hurley we know
Kate we know
Claire (saw her getting on the helicopter
Claires baby (assumed)
??? ??? (died and was at the funeral home)
We know Hurley goes nuts, Jack becomes a depressed druggie, Kate is with some guy since he would wonder where she was when she met Jack, So the 6th guy could be Swayer, Ben, Locke, someone that is not liked and has no family...

Matt,
If you want to know why Kate had the marks on her wrists after her time with Ben, watch this:

There's nothing there, it was just a deleted scene.

I believe the suppossed Oceanic Lawyer was none other than Matthew Abaddon. I'm wondering whether to view him as an MiB type figure or another figment of Hurley's imagination.
I'm starting to think that maybe it was Hurley in the coffin. If you look at the Hurley-Jack dynamic in this flash-forward and then compare it to Jack's turn in Through the Looking Glass, perhaps Hurley's death/suicide is what finally convinces Jack that he has to go back.
GREAT Charlie stuff, what a sad/exciting/creepy episode. I can't wait for Jack and Locke to fight again. I loved the "You're not going to shot me Jack*CLICK*." Moment. Jack is badass.
Posted by: Tyler J | February 03, 2008 at 01:36 PM
that would make so much sense if it was hurley in the coffin!
mostly because every one of the oceanic 6 wouldn't want to see him because just before he died he revealed their secret!
and now that everyone knows, jack feels he has to go back to make it right.
my only thing would be that the coffin didn't look big enough to hold hurley...
Posted by: nik | February 03, 2008 at 02:22 PM
@ TYLER , if it was hurly why would Jack say his neither friend or family? Why wasnt Kate there if she knew, since she seems to be friends with Hugo...and its not an XL coffin for him. haha.
Is Jack a druggie since thats his way of coping with the visions he's having? Why would Hurly say he should have gone with Jack and not Locke when they split up. Makes you wonder what Locke does this time to mess things up.
I would day once you die you can come back as a vision, but if thats true, then how does Walt do that, unless he's so special he is like Jacob.

Instead of "freighties", I think you should refer to them as "floaters". *grin*

Hey! Awesome no. 60 cast!!
Thought i would share my notes I made whilst watching!
Hurley - Oceanic 6
- Gets offered an upgrade of mental home from Oceanic flights (possibly fake - no business card)
- Asks if "Are they still alive?" to man offering upgrade
- Gets lost in jungle going to warn Jack about "not pennys boat"
- Wind - Shed from when ben met the freaky bloke who i cant remember his name (Locke was with him, and heard him say something)
- Sees man in shed, shed dissapears (powers?)
- Meets locke, agrees "Jack should never have called those people"
- Hurly meets Charlie, tells him "They need you"
Locke - Dissapeared
Naomi - Dissapears - Jack goes looking
Kate - follows naomi
- Naomi dies, after making the boat aware of ther position.
Jack - Meets up with Hurley in M.H, asks: "are you gunna tell?"
Hurley tells jack: "I should have stayed with you"
"It wants us to go back"
Hears a helecopter whilst talking to kate
Meets a man who parachuted from is, Asks: "Are you jack?"
Well, hope it helps! Im trying to work out what is going on in my own head!
Keep up the good work!!
Peter
Posted by: Peter | February 03, 2008 at 05:02 PM
Locke now knows hurley has the special "powers" to see jacob possibly tells hurley about jacob. Hurley doesnt believe in jacob (or doesnt want to, and convinces himself that its all in his mind???) and goes back to jack????
Possibly?????

I just want to preface this comment with a foreward that what I'm about to say is not coming from a mean place, and that I'm not a bad person...
Please, put us out of our misery and nix Tasha. I understand wanting a female perspective, but I've never encountered anything that is more annoying than her sporadic bubblegum giggle, her lack of depth, opinions and that fact that she doesn't really have anything to say.
It's similar to the same mistake the producers made by creating Nikki and Paulo to have a perspective from other survivors. It just annoyed the viewers to have these shallow characters running around the island as if they mattered, and they had to kill them off.
I think that a female perspective is important, being female, but not at any cost. Not that I'm recommending releasing a super poisonous spider on her, however, it might be a good idea to explore other options. There are other women out there that can contribute to the podcast in a more productive way.

Good to have you guys back.
So I noticed on the podcast and on other comments sections people not quite getting the whole "Not Penny's boat" thing as being important in why they wouldn't trust the folks on the Freighter. It's pretty simple if you cast your mind back to season 3. Naomi says that she was hired by Penny and that the Freighties are send by Penny to find Desmond. They fact that Charlie says it's "Not Penny's boat" means that Naomi was lying.
Course there's so much lying on this island you'd be forgiven for not noticing.
Stay lost.

OK I don't mind the odd spoiler but you've gone waaaaay to far.
If it's true then your "POSSIBLE SPOILER" should read "HUGE SPOILER". Many many people don't want to know who the 6 are -- it's one of the biggest areas of speculation.
Listing of episode names is bad made worse by adding the names and comments.

Tasha...you giggle way too much and add ZERO to the broadcast. Perhaps you should just listen in like the rest of us.

hi,
thanks for the podcast. please try to remember to keep it semi-professional, though. all the hysterical laughter got too loud and hurt my ears because i listened with earbuds.
i really appreciate all the theories and things, but i think each person on the podcast should define their role more specifically, rather than just talking for the sake of it. it honestly sounded this week more like you guys were sitting around drinking and laughing, rather than recording the serious podcast this show used to be. And at times, the podcast is still terrific. I know Brian Linder doesn't podcast much anymore (and I admit I thought he was the shining star of the podcast), but losing a key member doesn't have to so drastically change the dynamic. I think you guys ought to remember that there are other Lost podcasts that are ramble-centric and silly. I have listened to you guys since episode 6 because you take it seriously and deal in theories and more hard-core discussions. PLEASE remember how much your superfans value your show, and take it seriously. I know you aren't making money doing this, and I shouldn't complain. But it broke my heart when another lost podcast, MYOKOM w/ SAS, fell apart and I don't want you guys to fade now, especially during season 4, when we the fans need you more than EVER!!!!!
Posted by: jojo | February 04, 2008 at 06:10 AM
wow, i actually gotta agree. lose the Tasha. she just obviously doesn't take the time each week to do the research you guys do, and she often has little or nothing to add. maybe Linder could come back once a month, or every 5 podcasts or something. or even just phone in a 30 second review of each episode. that way he could still have the time do the animation stuff he said he was getting into.
Posted by: bill the butcher | February 04, 2008 at 06:19 AM
@jeffinthe9
If you do have a friend at the network (and why should we doubt you) then it's even more reason to SPOILER note everything. People at the network are bound to know things that the general public don't and thus are SPOILERS.
I think it was Matt Jones who once defined a SPOILER as something that the average viewer has to go looking for and would not see without searching the internet. So for our purposes anything that is not in the promo right after the show or on a tv ad is SPOILER.
Also your SPOILER ruins my theory that in the main promo pic for season four (http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/4x01) the people on the left are the Oceanic 6 and those on the right are either dead or left behind. So it's clearly wrong !
Posted by: Mark B | February 04, 2008 at 08:12 AM
1. Who's in the coffin ?
OK here we go again. Using all the same arguements as before maybe Matthew Abbaddon is in the coffin. Only thing against that is I can't see how a "Oceanic lawyer" ends up in a poor neighbourhood. Unless of course the laywer is dumped by Oceanic when the $h1t hits the fan.
2. My photo theory .... obviosuly in the photo there are only five people on the left, the sixth is Aaron.

The greatest Lost podcast has turned into a silly girly giggling podcast.
By all means tell me to F off if you want to but that was not what I expected from the best Lost podcast.

Posted by: Tahir | February 04, 2008 at 11:45 AM
Someone has probably mentioned this but something that occurred to me was that only passive propulsion systems enable you to get to the Island such as sail boats and balloons or pre-electronic systems. Systems with electronics don't seem to work.
Posted by: Tori in DC | February 04, 2008 at 12:05 PM
Hey! Great Podcast!!! So glad that you guys are back! So, I posted this thought on the previous post, but didn't get any real feedback because this thread was posted shortly after - so, I'm going to re-post it here, hoping that someone might have a comment or some interesting ideas concerning this observation.
Did anyone else notice that in the "King of the Castle" mobisode, when Jack is talking to Ben about getting off the island and says he "never" wants to come back, Ben says "never say never"? This is almost the same conversation that Jack and Hurley have in the Season 4 opener - only it's Hurley who shouts "never say never". Any thoughts???
Posted by: Courtney | February 04, 2008 at 12:08 PM
@ John, Robert, Tasha & Matt
Guys, I'm a long-time poster and only a recent podcast listener. I want to compliment you on a really thoughtful and fun Lost presentation. I listen to you guys at the gym and it further feeds my Lost-mania. Particularly enjoyed the "nerding-out" this week and the references to one of you (Robert?) being married and already having procreated. Always the right question to ask when you're talking about true nerdom!
A few places where I respectfully disagree with you guys on your theories this week:
(1) The Shack "Eye"
You're all off on this discussion of the "eye" in Jacob's shack. The S3 eye and the S4 eye are the same, the eye is definitely brown, and to suggest that it's Locke's eye is off base, in my opinion. Your dedicated posters here had pretty roundly discounted that possibility probably before you guys recorded the podcast.
(2) Smokey/Christian Shepard/Yemi
I also feel pretty confident about there being a strong connection between Smokey, Christian Shepard and Yemi -- in other words, Smokey is responsible for the relocation of these corpses and their animation on the Island. There are a number of well-reasoned observations to support this. There's the telltale "receipt printing" sound when Smokey or Yemi appears, Smokey's reading Eko's memories and Yemi judging him based on those memories -- or Smokey's real name being "Cerberus," a mythological character from the Underworld, and a clear connection to "raising the dead." The implications of this connection are quite important to Jacob, Jack, Locke, Walt, the "whispers" and even Vincent, in my opinion -- I elaborated on it in the comments on the prior topic.
@ emily
I'm with you. See my long post on the prior thread. I've worked up a "Telepathy" theory of the Island that's pretty comprhensive. It says that Smokey is really Jacob's tool, it's animated Jack's Dad and Yemi, Jacob and Walt share some abilities and the "whispers" we all hear are really thoughts. Love to hear your comments on it.
@ Courtney
I'm very into the connection you draw between Hurley's "never say never" and Ben's "never say never." Undoubtedly, Ben knows THE secret about the Island -- whatever it is that makes you want to come back -- and he knows or at least strongly suspects that Jack will want to come back. In terms of the connections I made with the mobisodes, though, I thought this one was the most interesting. In "So It Begins," Christian Shepard (risen from the dead by Jacob and Smokey), says after sending Vincent to wake up Jack, that Jack "has work to do." Walt, rescuing Locke in the Dharma mass grave -- perhaps on Jacob's instruction -- also says that Locke "has work to do." Is it the same work? Different work? What are the Man of Science and the Man of Faith going to do next? Fascinating.
Posted by: Radzinsky | February 04, 2008 at 12:32 PM
Another random thought:
There has been a lot of speculation about who is in the coffin and who Kate's "he" is. Given what we "think" we know now about the Oceanic 6 being off island and not allowed to talk about it, and given that we saw Abbadon go to check up on Hurley, I think that either the person in the coffin or Kate's "he" or possibly both could be characters that we haven't yet met. Could the person in coffin be one of the "enforcers" who has helped to keep the Oceanic 6 following their "script"? (That would explain the neither friend or family comment.) Could Kate somehow be involved with one of her rescuers? (That might explain why she's so nervous about meeting Jack - aside from their akward love triangle thing.) Might also explain why she and Jack have a certain meeting place at the airport where they can secretly discuss the island. Just food for thought - I haven't really spent much time fleshing out this theory.

I am just waiting for the time that we call the people on the boat the Boaties. lol
Or whatever there nickname will be.
Posted by: James | February 04, 2008 at 01:02 PM
A few thoughts about John Locke: you guys seem pretty down on him these days, for reasons, as far as I can tell, are unsubstantiated. Locke is taking messages from the island - from Jacob, or whatever the powers that be are - and has been from the beginning. He's stumbled at times, but his path has been among the most intriguing of any of the castaways.
When Hurley says "I should never have gone with Locke," I don't believe it means that Locke was necessarily "wrong". It could mean that what ensued from the split among the group led to the Oceanic 6, some sort of betrayal toward the rest of the group, and Hurley contending that Jack was wrong all along in his attempts to get everyone off of the island.
If the island is pulling the Oceanic 6 back, and Jack, the "Man of Science" led the charge off of the island, it would stand to reason that in some ways Locke was right on the ball. Ben warns that calling the freighter is a big mistake -- Jack's mistake -- that eventually plays a role in creating crazy, bearded, drugged-up Jack who wants desperately to get back to the island.
This is assuming that as a viewer you buy into the greater idea of the island, of the power felt by Ben, Eko, Locke, Walt, etc. And that the island's role in the castaway's lives is meant to change them fundamentally. While they may still be the "fixer" and the "survivor", etc. by the end of the show's run, I can't help but think that the castaway's experience on the island will in some way transform their weary, pre-815 selves.
Posted by: Choward | February 04, 2008 at 02:26 PM
AT JEFFINTHE9:
"Is Jack a druggie since thats his way of coping with the visions he's having?"
Such a great theory! As for Hurley being neither friend nor family to Jack, I think there is every chance that, given how selfish the known members of the Oceanic 6 are acting, Hurley insistence that they find a way back to the Island would eventually ostracize him from the other survivors. As for the XL coffin... death by woodchipper?
RE: Cloverfield:
They didn't really spoil anything. Seriously. As previously stated, there isn't much plot to spoil. I still would urge everyone to go see it. The imagery after the initial disaster is priceless.
Posted by: Tyler J | February 04, 2008 at 02:48 PM
I realy think theres nothing more to the Ben-Kate meeting on the beach. The dress she wore was just to catch Soyer's attention standing in the cage next to her.
When the oceanic 6 returned home could they have taken a hidden passenger with them? smokey maybe? is that what Hurley sees as Charlie ?
Posted by: random losty | February 04, 2008 at 02:58 PM
This could be a spoiler.......................................But i thought that it common knowledge that the Oceanic 6 were Jack,Kate,Hurley,Sayid,Sun and Jinn.I've seen it on several sites Dark Ufo etc. Also Sayid was Living in Germany with a girlfriend. He doesn't work, when asked by his girlfriend where he gets his money from,he says he got a settlement from a plane crash.

What no J Wood love in this podcast?
Before I rewatched Season 3, none of the Sawyer-Kate stuff made any sense to me. In retrospect, it looks as though, Ben was actively trying to get Kate to choose Sawyer. He had to systematically take away everything Jack cared about and replace it with things that would lead him to choose to help Ben. The last shred Ben thinks Jack is holding onto is his love of Kate. If Kate chooses Sawyer, Jack has no reason to stay. That's why Ben lets Kate shower and puts her in a dress and makes her stay with Sawyer. If Jack has nothing to hold onto, he'll operate on Ben and take his chances with the Others.

Re: Cloverfield
I think Matt had it right when he said Godzilla from the view of the people who scream "Godzilla". You see very little from the viewpoint of the soldiers fighting the monster. I really liked it. My wife didn't. She couldn't see the point. I think she was expecting some 'closure', which there wasn't.
Posted by: waitingforlost | February 04, 2008 at 07:06 PM
Re: Tasha
Tasha's incessant giggling didn't bother me as much as the rabbit trails we had to go on. A story about a model/bodyguard and a whole synopsis of "Cloverfield"? That was definitely more frustrating than any of Tasha's giggles.
Re: This episode
This was not my favorite LOST episode. Sure, we all loved it, but that is probably because it was the first taste since last May. As one of the LOSTcasters said, "It was a continuation of the season 3 finale." It did throw out some great questions and just enough tension to jumpstart things. But it barely moved the plot forward and it was almost entirely focused on the characters and their issues and not on the island or the mythology that hooked me in the first place.
I hope next week will build on this foundation.

Tasha sounds really hot when she giggles. Has anyone got any pis of her?
Posted by: Peter Brock | February 04, 2008 at 07:56 PM
@Peter Brock, Couldn't agree more. I'd certainly be happy to play hide the salami with her. She should do her own cast just reading erotic stories.More Tasha please!!
Posted by: Mitch | February 04, 2008 at 08:04 PM
May just be me but I got the feeling that Tasha is Johns girlfriend. Lots of "we" statements did this, when we saw that and while we were watching.
Posted by: waitingforlost | February 04, 2008 at 08:47 PM
Probably bad form advertising a "competing" cast but Jay and Jack have a good interview with Jorge. In it he says a number of things including .....
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER
An actor who is not on the cast plays Jacobs eye.

@ waitingforlost
I got the same feeling as I listened: John and Tasha referred to us and we a few times. And referred to even watching Jaws together...
Not that it is a bad thing. I imagine they are both great people. just a thought that popped up as I listened.
Posted by: Mike in the Box | February 04, 2008 at 09:44 PM
Hey Tasha, take your top off the next time you sit in for a podcast. And then post some pics of the event. At least make it interesting for us since you bring nothing to the table otherwise...
C'mon Tash, let's see those TITTIES!
Posted by: Gerald | February 05, 2008 at 01:34 AM
heyyy i like tasha, stop hating everyone! you've been complaining for a podcast for awhile and now that you've got one you're just giving them reasons not to podcast anymore.
Posted by: lmnop | February 05, 2008 at 01:59 AM
Just thought i would let everyone know that in the latest Daredevil Comic Book a taxi has an Oceanic Airlines add on it. It was cool to see
Posted by: Mark | February 05, 2008 at 06:25 AM
@Gerald, Yeah Im hearing you bro. I wanna see those hot perky titties too. She just sounds hot.Bet she is a screamer!!

If I wanted to hear about Cloverfield or Jaws, I would listen to a podcast about Cloverfield or Jaws. Stay on topic!
Maybe you could have a little less testosterone on the podcast next time. 4 guys (or how many ever you had) was TOO MUCH! You are constantly trying to outdo each other. (Of course, it's like that not matter how many guys are on the podcast). I really love Lost and you do a good podcast by providing the summaries from the boards, etc. but there is too much extra unnecessary stuff that doesn't make sense because you are spending so much time competing with each other. And I agree with the previous comments that "girly girl" laughs too much. And she adds absolutely nothing to the podcast. Listen to your listeners and take the criticism seriously!
Posted by: melcauble | February 05, 2008 at 09:23 AM
Thought the podcast was great, a few off topic moments, but still good. I wish this thread could stay more on topic...
Posted by: LostFan | February 05, 2008 at 10:44 AM
If you don't like it don't listen. You won't be missed. We don't sell ads so we don't need to pander to our audience for traffic. Non sequiturs, lame jokes and macho BS always have been and will continue to be a big part of what we do. Mostly because we aren't very good broadcasters. We do what we do and if people enjoy it, great. If not, there are plenty of other Lost podcasts out there for you to enjoy. Go be a miserable fuck on their forum. Or keep being a miserable fuck here. Again, we really don't care.
This wasn't a particularly meaty episode of LOST. Very entertaining, but it really just got the ball rolling. Same with the cast. You may disagree on its entertainment value, but we were just getting the ball rolling on the season. I think we hit all of the stuff relevant to the episode and then had, gasp, some fun. I'll grant you that John's Russian bodyguard had more to do with is own personal fetishes, but the Cloverfield and StarTrek discussions were relevant discussions of JJ Abrams projects. The Jaws discussion was an illustration of the less is more style of story telling that Abrams and the makers of LOST employ. We've always talked about other films and TV shows in comparison to LOST.
As for Tasha, she will continue to be a contributor to our cast as will Joy. Tasha brings good stuff to the table and provides a laugh track. Yes she giggles a lot. John says interesting a lot. I make lame jokes a lot. Robert...I'm not really sure what Robert does, but rest assured he will continue to do a lot of it.
Now, if you want to see some tits I suggest playing with your, no doubt ample, man boobs in the mirror. A little Nair and you'll hardly be able to tell the difference. I'd suggest going out and finding a real girl, but I have a suspicion that's not a viable option.
(Opinions expressed by Carl Hungus are not necessarily those of LOSTcasts, but they should be.)

Yes!!! That’s what I’m talking about!!!
That folks was the real Matt Jones.

there is sooo much testosterone on this board right now! enough of the tasha talk -- its degrading and sad.
guys (and tasha!)-- i love your podcast. when you're laughing, i'm laughing. i just appreciate you actually doing this, and i think people don't really understand that you don't owe them anything.
keep up the good work, i say.
stay lost xo.
Posted by: nik | February 05, 2008 at 11:54 AM
I agree, this forum is for interesting discussions about LOST, nobodies ideas should be aggressively shot down and the guys who take alot of time out of their weekends to give us a good podcast should not be abused. Stop writing on this site if you wanna do either of the above!
Love the podcast, hope these minority idiots dont put you off.

I just re-watched the episode and had the same thought that I had when watching it for the first time. Harold Perrineau was listed in the cast credits....Was he in the episode? Or do they just do that for everyone who is on the cast for the season regardless of if they appear in the episode? Is it possible that it's his eye? Just some food for thought.
Posted by: Bekka | February 05, 2008 at 01:08 PM
Hmm... should have looked back at the pictures of the eye before I posted...Definitely not Michaels eye. But my other questions still stand. Was he in the episode and I missed him, or maybe he was in a scene that got cut?

SPOILERISH CONTENT **BEWARE** .......................................................................................................................................................................
I read this entry on The Fuselage and must give credit to gutsdozer... its good stuff:
http://en.lostpedia.com/wiki/Rob_Kyker
Rob Kyker is Lost's prop master on the production crew. He played Jacob in 'The Man Behind the Curtain'. Jacob wasn't officially cast yet. They used Rob Kyker again for 'The Beginning of the End', because he's still not cast.
Now look at this, Jacob's eye from the previous episode, with the eye from the window in this episode superimposed over it:
http://www.imagehosting.com/show.php...jacob.gif.html
It's the same eye. Rob Kyker's eye. Jacob's eye.

@Bekka: Regarding the cast credits, regular cast members are listed on every episode for the entire season whether or not they actually appear on individual episodes. Guest stars are listed only when they actually appear on an episode.
That's why Harold Perrineau (Michael) was listed on the cast credits for Beginning of the End even though he did not appear on the episode. He is a reagualr cast member for Season 4.
That's also why we know that Christian Shepherd was in Jacob's rocking chair... because guest star John Terry was listed in the credits for Beginning of the End. Plus this screen cap:

Can you fools please leave the over-sexed nerd banter at the door? I know its 5 months until Comic-con and its gnarly Vampirella/Jabba Slave Leia fangirls hit your hometown, but seriously, you have to learn to keep the pathetic booby comments to yourselves. Keep in mind you are not playing Axis & Allies in the back of the local comic store with 7 other male virgins. Women read these boards and should not have to listen to this crap. If you so desperately NEED to get your rocks off via fantasy podcast girl, why not listen to Howard Stern? In the mean time, keep your super macho nerdgasms to yourselves.

You were so close with the "Ho ho ho" comments... if you follow the find815.com story, they go near Christmas Island...
Posted by: Brittonlj | February 05, 2008 at 04:31 PM
Sorry American cultural problem ....
What are "Ho-Ho's" ?
And yes, I know what a Ho is but not a Ho-Ho ?
Some food/candy item I'm guessing.
Posted by: Mark B | February 05, 2008 at 04:51 PM
Yes - Ho-hos are a snack. If I remember right, they are chocolate cake rolled/filled with frosting and then covered in chocolate.
Posted by: Courtney | February 05, 2008 at 05:00 PM
Courtney is correct. Ho hos are a snack and they are tasty!
The Ho ho ho theory is why I love the Lost community. Sure it might seem silly to me, but I think it is so interesting(that's for John) and just plain cool that people take the time to come up with and map out these theories! Then Lostcast comes along and tells me about Hitler trying to find and entrance to the center of the Earth and things just get cooler.

Thanks -- in case anyone ever visits the UK and wants a Ho-Ho you'll need to ask for a "Swiss roll", or "Mini-Swiss roll" (which tend to come in packs of six and be about 3" long and 1" in diameter).
I have no idea why they are called Swiss Rolls. But it does lead to the famous playgroung/schoolyard joke ...
Q. How do you make a Swiss roll ?
A. Push him down a hill !!
Thank you, I'll be here all week, and don't forget to tip your waitress.
Posted by: Mark B | February 05, 2008 at 05:58 PM
@ Joe C. Thanks for the response. That's what I thought, but I just wasn't sure!
Posted by: Bekka | February 05, 2008 at 06:11 PM
@ Mark B
I appreciate your Swiss roll humor.
We have Swiss Rolls here (in the US) also. HoHos are pretty much the same thing, only they are distributed by a rival snack company - hence the 2 names for basically the same snack.
Probably more info than you ever wanted to know, but there you go! =)

Also I should mention that if you go on to our myspace site you will see that I've hardly got a rippling body, So sorry if I offended anyone with manboob comments, One last thing is that if you feel that we are not doing a good job we want to know how you feel on the comments section.Once again I am sorry if I offended anyone I had one to many dharma beers.

Just rewatched the episode, and I looked closer at the boat/shark drawings on the blackboard in the mental institution when Hurley meets Abbadon. The drawings seem very similar to the mural painting from the swan hatch. Do you think is is similar because it was the same artist (meaning someone from production) or do you think it was meant to mirror the mural? (wow, try saying that 5 times fast).

RE: Tasha
Although I feel that Tasha adds nothing of value to the podcast, and that she is a LOST dilettante, and not to mention her incredibly irritating laugh and nasally child-like voice makes my ears bleed.
I will still continue to listen to the podcasts, and in no way is it ok to post those disgusting comments about Tasha.
Obviously it would be a win-win-win if Tasha could have something meaningful to bring to the podcast, the guys can continue doing what they're doing, and we can go on contributing our theories. But the world isn't perfect (we know because of the eight year reign of Bush).

i am a big fan! thanks for putting all the work into it.
i just want to encourage the girl in the podcast to speak up. i am sure she is a big fan, but she needs to represent for lost girls--so get in there! :-)

some things to ponder:
-baby and claire die in the helicopter. i don't think she is part of the O6 sadly.
-no electronics work on the island b/c of jacob. also remember when the others wore old-timey outfits? for jacob? why?
-ben is holding jacob captive in some way...remember that gun powder or whatever? maybe jacob needs the losties to do his work b/c of this? particularly locke.
-walt and birds. wtf?
-why can some people die and others not? bea, ana lucia=dead patchy=not dead
-ben is prob. in the coffin. he's small. he prob. doesn't want to come back but does it by accident or the freighties bring him back.
-maybe soonyi dies giving childbirth? so not O6.
-does noone see the connection between ben's mother dying and his obsession with it?
btw, i would really like the misogynististic comments to stop. it's lame. this is a cool community i would hate it to be tarnished by straight up fools. i will be 'lost' if i hear more of these types of comments.
