I've dropped back in here having migrated to Jay & Jack last season in the hope that maybe you'd sort yourselves out and make a bit of extra effort as it is the last season, but no. I really don't understand why you guys bother anymore? Your stats are WAY down. If you need an excuse to get away from the wives you could just take up golf. For the record you jumped the shark when you invited your girlfriend to work. Anyway you used to be good, but when all you can say is something is 'interesting' that doesn't pass muster anymore so here we are you useless twonks, so long and thanks for all the fish.

Just to point out, Jay and Jack have sponsers and get some funding to do the podcast. They are not amatures doing it for fun, but now quasi professional. The comparison is innacurate. I would rather listen to a podcast by volunteers who are not beholden to others. Podcast when ya'll can, looking forward either way.

Not too thrilled with the 'claiming' as part of the infection. But it is nice to know the issue was not brushed under the rug. Kinda cool to see Claire go native. Still thinking that one out.

LOSTCast is by far the best Lost podcast, Jay and Jack are horrible, I just can't listen to those guys, pure trash. I don't care how long I have to wait for a new episode, in the meantime try The Transmission, The Official Lost Podcast and Geronimo Jack's Beard.

Jay and Jack waffle too much for me to enjoy their podcast. Seems like all they do is recap the episode and make terrible jokes. I can't say I've ever learnt anything interesting from them.

A lot of folks were down about this episode but I liked it.
Remaining 100% spoiler free helps - I don't even know what the episode titles are.

Just a couple of things to point out from this episode:

1) Ethan (X) is going by the last name of Goodspeed instead of Rom. And I loved his line about unnecessarily sticking Claire with needles is the last thing he wants to do. haha

2) Claire (X)'s ultrasound pic has the date of 10/22/04, this is one month after the original timeline Oceanic crash. Some have said it was just a production error, but I don't buy it. Sept. 22, 2004 has become such an important date to the show, someone would surely have caught the mistake if it had been one.

I'm with Tahir, been spoiler free so far and I am loving it.

Jay and Jack are horrible. They offer no real insight to the show. This is how their podcast goes: Jay proclaims current episode the best ever. Jack makes a stupid comment and proceeds to waffle on every single plot point. They aren't in the same league as Lostcasts.

Shame about the lack of a cast this weekend but life goes on and LOSTcasts is way btter than anything else. As for Jay and Jack .... they have the most popular LOST podcast so must be doing something right.

As for What Kate Does it was "interesting" but hardly what I'd call an excellent episode. Perhpas I missed the point. The off island story line is already getting tired. Having invested 5 seasons in one timeline suddenly having a second means it's natural to care less about the new one. It's clever and interesting to see what would have happened but there is nothing that grabs me in that timeline that I really want to know. I know the characters are the same but they're not the ones we've been following for five years.

As for on island, more Others, more weirdness, more confusion. This is where my interest lies. What is Dogan and Lennons story ? Who is Sayid now ? Changed Sayid I assume as there is no etra body like with Locke:Flocke. So what will Sayid be like ?

All in all not a great episode especially with so few left it's just disappointing.

Sorry, I'm with the critics on the lack of interest on your part to your podcasts. Make your next podcast on Modern Family episode and all your defender's excuses will still apply. Do you guys remember when you took so much pride in your examination of the blast door map? I guess it all went to your heads as was foreshadowed when you thought everyone would be interested in sound clips from your podcasts taped together. Okay, I get it, you were experimenting. And last years oft missed weeks was annoying but again I get it, it's been a long hard slog. But now there are 12 episodes left and you don't really care enough to enjoy the final season? Oh wait, it's free. I guess no one should care really.

You're free to do whatever you please with your podcast, but don't think for a second that you're free from criticism. When you post something on the internet with the intent of having people see/hear it, you open yourself up to that.

Basically Jay and Jack are appealling to the lowest commom denominator like American Idol. That said they are OK, there are much worse podcasts out there.

LostCasts is still the most informative and intelligent Lost podcast out there IMO. Anyone who presents a "better alternative," you have my word: I *will* become your fan. Otherwise, STFU.

Everyone should check out the transmission. They do all of the in-depth theory stuff that LostCasts used to do. I really miss that. These guys at LostCasts used to constantly update all of the various theories and debunk them or try to prove them. They'd also keep track of unsolved mysteries. Now they basically just rehash the episode and Robert says one stupid thing after another. Really not worth your time anymore. Check out the transmission!

You didn't even do a test run with the video streaming to see if everything was working ok before doing the podcast?? No, of course not. You cretins did the test 30 minutes into the podcast. Unbelievable.

I quit this site at the start of last season because listening to 10 minutes of conversation and 45 mins of "ummmmm" "ahhhhhh" and "hmmmmm" was getting unbearable.

I decided I'd give it another shot for the last season. Surely after 6 years of doing podcasts (or anything for that matter) you would expect someone to be getting the hang of what they are doing.

This was the very first Lost Podcast I ever listened to. It was far and away my favorite of all, and I would have even PAID to listen to it. But then each season, you guys get less and less dependable --- so I started trying to find other Lost podcasts and started listening to Jay and Jack and GSPN Weekly Lost Podcast, and over time I have been able to count on them as they are DEPENDABLE. You guys are like the prettiest girl in school who can never be counted on to show up for her dates, so guys stop asking her out. You guys were the best and missed out on a HUGE opportunity to be the premier Lost Podcast. Too late now. Good luck with your lives, pretty girls!

Incredible episode. Kate wasn't among the rest of the candidates - is she officially irrelevant? If so, thank god. Buy WHY wasn't her name up there when Jakob has visited her in the past? THEORY: Remember the context of Jacob's visit to Kate? He reprimanded her from stealing and told her to be good. I’m assuming blowing up your dad, no matter the reason, officially counts as bad. She did not stay on the path Jacob meant her to – and thus is no longer considered a candidate. I wonder if "Austen" was crossed off somewhere in that cave…

When they were headed down the cliff, was anyone else thinking "Jacob's ladder?" Also, if I saw Richard running scared, I would be running too.

Not really sure why everyone is so up in arms. So your FREE podcast doesn't arrive on time every flippin weekend because The LostCast boys have families and real-life commitments? Waah! Big deal. Cut 'em some slack. If you don't enjoy them anymore, or now find this podcast irrelevant, then just STOP visiting LostCasts, spouting off all your crap just for the sake of venting and telling the world how John, Matt, and Robert (RoMJo? JoRMatt?) have wronged you for daring to engage in a life outside of pleasing a bunch of ungrateful whiners. If you have something constructive to say, by all means, but if not why, ruin it, for the rest of us that do still value Jormatt's contribution by telling them quit? I enjoy this Podcast. I will listen until they stop podcasting. I find them amusing and pretty knowledgeable in general. The biggest complaint I can think of is: I sometimes have to turn my volume way up so that I can hear Robert, and then Matts starts talking and blows my eardrums out. But, oh well, that's life. Oh, and as far as them jumping the shark when Tasha guested on the show, why? Because she is a female? Whatever. If you all think you can do better, nobody is stopping you. One thing about this site I used to like was the comments section. It used to be full of in depth comments about the show that were way better than anything I could come up with. Now it's a 90% people bitching. What happened to those posters ?

All I can think of about this episode (which in my opinion was one of the best for a long while) was how come Sawyer and Locker could see the child ? Has any other two people seen the same vision on the island (Sawyer and Kate and the horse I suppose -- or was the horse real)? Who is the child Jacob ? Why is Kates name missing off the list yet she was touched by Jacob ? What has she done to be removed from the list ?

My initial reaction was that the child was Jacob. The other visions have all I assume been made by Smokey so as Smokey had a vision it must be made by someone of equal power therefore it must be Jacob.

My overall theory is that Smokey is a prisoner on the island and Jacob was his jailer. Smokey can only leave when his jailer leaves. Smokey is now trying to con Sawyer into becoming the new Jacob and so leave with him. Sawyer will smell the con and Smokey will remain trapped.

Confused about Ben being a teacher when in 1977 he was on the island in '77. Assumed that time after '77 was changed but before was the same. Now seems that time was changed well before 1977 so Ben never got to the island.

How did Locke get into the wheelchair this time ? His Dad and he seem to be talking.

A. The child say you are not allowed to kill him so it can't be Jacob because he's dead already. Initially I thought the child meant Richard but could have been Sawyer. But why kill Sawyer ? Is it last candidate standing wins the right to be Jacob II ?

@Buttface : excellent spot about the sprinklers. If they are following the same list for flashsideways as they did with the flashbacks of S1 then next will be Jack, then Sun/Jin, Charlie, Sawyer, Sayid, Claire, back to Jack, then Kate, Boone, Michael/Walt ..... Hurley would not get a flashsideways but I guess he could replace Charlie or one of the repeats. Still not sure I like the sideways but Lockes was interesting adn showed that pre-77 is affected and yet some things remain the same (Rose has cancer)

the Substitute: I don't have the link but there was a spanish language promo (search LOST Quatro) featuring our main characters on a chess board. The revelations by fake-Locke are all reminiscent of two players trapped (somehow) on the island forced to play out a game by a set of "rules" -- both sides seem to be using people as pawns. and neither can kill each other... just like two kings on a chess board. they keep ending up in stalemates.

also...pretty sure those kids in Locke (x)'s class were middle school kids... learning about the reproductive system doesn't usually happen in high school and the kids looked young. what the crap kind of middle school has a "European History" Teacher??!

I am a little concerned about where Lost is going. All of this Jacob/Nemesis stuff is just kind of dumb and feels like a bait and switch. I was interested in Jack and the others, not... what.. Lucifer and some other angel or something? Seriously wondering if we have 2 aliens playing a big game of human backgammon here...

Not really though... I think they are both from future dharma... still trying to save the world. But, unlike des and kelvin, their station is the snow globe itself, on its loop, over and over trying to change the variables to solve the equation in a way that humanity doesn't always ultimately extinguish itself. One of them is kind of frustrated with the whole thing though!

And since we're all throwing in other recommendations, The ODI podcast is pretty good too. They have been really keen on "inconsistencies" but they haven't really put forward a unified theory of what they mean. There are subtle changes in dialog, blocking, etc when we see scenes over again. Not in the "previously on lost" part but actually in-show. An example being in the pilot... the stewardess call to fasten seatbelts is worded differently in jack, kate, and charlie's on-plane scenes. Do you guys have any thoughts on this? Stay Lost!
