I believe Desmond's order number (42) at the Mr Cluck's was a nod to 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' where 42 was considered the "Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything"...

Shouldn't Pierre Chang recognize Hugo from when he was on the island? Especially since Hugo told him they were from the future
